Mind-bending TV series hosted by John Newland, your guide to the unknown! Based on true, supernatural events that defy scientific explanation, this show appeals to fans of The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.
THE MASK: A World War II flier, recovering in a hospital from over-exposure to the desert sun, is possessed by the spirit of a long dead Egyptian prince.

Im 32 years old and I really love watching these old shows and twilight zone , the story telling is beyond great 👍 so well written in comparison to anything from today. Movies had no computer editing effects but writers used their imaginations and buildup which strikes with more effectiveness making it more marvelous to observe the nostalgia of that Era. How far down the drain American writers have fallen.

John Newland had a very compelling voice. It's not loud or intense; it draws you in. It's almost impossible to stop listening to him once he begins. He'd have made a great hypnotist.

TV had a whole different vibe back in the day. It made you really explore your feelings by having dramatic, sad, happy, scary, etc story lines. I absolutely hate reality TV, it takes away from the art of acting. TV actors in the day used many theatrical styles which made for more versatile expressions of emotion ❤. I miss the good ole days!!! Those of us who lived during this time in this innocent forgotten world, are very fortunate ❤!!!

So sorry for the loss of your father. I know how it is, I lost my father and then my mother. So often I think of something and I say I’ll call mother and ask her, then it hits me that I can’t. I am 74 and I listened to the really old radio shows because very few people had tv’s back in the 50s. In fact my uncle was the first in our small town. The room had to be completely dark and the snow was really bad on it. I missed these stories in the 70s as I was working night shift at the telephone company, so they are all new to me. Hope I didn’t talk your ear off. Have a good year to come.

I love One Step Beyond but this episode while intriguing seemed dubious. He is referred to as 'Prince Herkna' which implies never ascending to the throne. The Pharoah list, which is by no means complete, doesn't contain this name. I also can't find the account from Wilenski that this is based on. Wilensky did go on to be a respected sociologist.

@@wordsofcheresie936 The Wilenski this episode was based on probably went to the same place all characters from urban myths go. There was a real Wilenski who may have been some inspiration for this, but there's no evidence that this story really happened. That Wilenski was Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the author of 13 books and 70 articles. He died in 2011.

Everyone of the cast that appeared in this episode are dead. The beautiful actress who played the nurse, Joan Elan, died age 52 and most of the other main cast died in their 60s. This episode is from 1960, I can remember this series when a kid. The most depressing part when I check out the actors from those times in IMDB is discovering the whole lot have gone.

Probably screen it again at the doc's office lobby in a few days, much luv. Another tight 30 mins was, " The gypsy," screened that one where it made blink twice.

@@PizzaFLIX What's good with you pizzaflix? I 've tried tocate two but can't seem to retrieve either full films from KZbin, you might know about them, the 1st is 1947 " T- Men, Dennis O' Keefe. and that zagnut bar June lockhart. The second, 1950 " Between midnight and dawn," Edward O' brien, and the dream packages of m & m candy both Gale Storm and Gale Robbins. I could only get pieces of both reels unfortunately.
