Just saying someone is brilliant doesn’t make it a real thing. If you’re going to put content out there to the masses, you should be ready to accept the opinions of the people. Taking those opinions on board might actually help you to achieve a better product. I’m sure Sam is a great guy, but people are entitled to their opinions. Putting out a message to tell people off for having an opinion is quite poor. Thanks for what you all do, but please be aware that people watch you and look forward to your content, you should care about what people think, not just care for your friends. For my two pence worth, I like your stuff but some people are better than others - that isn’t an offensive thing to say, it’s just my opinion.

@@simonhunt9929 there is a big difference between constructive criticism and personal abuse. A lot of people crossed the line (in comments that have now been deleted) in an episode where Oba barely gave any opinions... he was acting as the judge, clearly showing people venting on pre-conceived ideas/an agenda. Having worked in this space for 6+ years, we are all used to criticism, but there's a line. (Dougie)

With the amount of lads who have left FD recently and given the shit comments that are constantly aimed at Sam, I don’t think I’d keep coming back on these shows if I was him. I don’t always agree with his takes but he’s giving his opinion and trying to help the 2 lads keep FS going. Please just keep your opinion to yourself if you don’t have anything decent to say about him. I’m sure Mikey/Dougie would rather the one less view on the video than somebody watching it only to put shit about Sam in the comment section afterwards.

Their views arent great anyway.. Sam doesnt know what hes on about at all.. ever.. why watch a football show where at least 1/3rd of the panel is completely clueless. Its bad and its not even so much sams fault anymore as it is whoevers decision it is to decide the panel. Whoever puts him out at all let alone as a sub to joe,pat, or chris is wild. Im gonna be unsubbing mostly because theres just no chemistry and the appeal is lost for me considering this is all something you get on other channels minus the hosts that set it apart 🤷‍♂️ Best of luck to the lads though hope it turns around 👍

Great pod lad. One thing, on the Villa section I think the initial injury to Pau Torres is what’s held us back. We beat Arsenal, Man City and Brentford all in one week then proceed to draw to Sheffield and Go on a pretty average run the minute he gets injured. The way we build up is essentially around him and you could see in those first few games we struggled to truly match what he has, the high line was a little off and we were just a bit stale in the quick build ups we’ve had so much success on. I’ve always said If Torres doesn’t get injured, we’re far and away in 4th and maybe on the outskirts of the title race. Also last thing I don’t know where you got the info but Carlos has missed quite a few games with injury, has been out since around mid feb if I remember.

Totally right about Thuram too - but I actually think he's just an example of why Inter's done so well; they don't have amazing players in every position, but they have good players who are happy and confident, and then they play amazing. As a Milan fan, I wish Pioli could instill that kind of confidence, because sometimes we're amazing and sometimes we look like we've never played before.

Villa haven’t been ravaged by injury? A month of only having 2 fit CBs, 3 ACL injuries, Ramsey missing huge chunks of the season. Only place we have been lucky with injuries is Watkins!

5 first teamers have missed at least half a season. Spurs had half the CB injuries we did and started full backs at CB, we had 4 CBs out and still had a pairing. And Diego Carlos definitely has missed games with injury and Ramsey 'kind of had some injury issues' he's missed half of the season.

Dougie brings up a lot of points about Villa not rotating. Carlos was injured towards the end of last season and that's why he hasn't featured TOO much this season and Zaniolo hasn't kicked on in terms of reaching form (the drop off came mainly after the betting stuff surfaced as well). On top of that Mings and Buendia were out with ACL's for the whole season. Ramsey has been out on/off for the majority of the season. Moreno missed a big chunk. Torres missing for bits and pieces. And we have Kamara out with an ACL now as well. Pundits have been bemoaning teams like Man Utd and Newcastle having injuries but we've suffered as much as them with zero acknowledgement of it and that isn't down to lack of rotation but more so, a large amount of injuries within a smaller squad.

Ramsey hasn't had 'some injury issues' he's missed half the season. And Diego Carlos has missed multiple games with injury, as have all of our CBs. Villa have played 43 games this season, and all of our squad is getting minutes if you include Europe. I think your analysis on Villa's rotation is actually off.

Because it was funny to watch people argue against him. I can vividly remember times Sam tryna defend himself was the funniest part of the channel. Argument is a crucial part of good entertainment in sport but the modern audience is too spoilt for that and now noone can argue on this channel without people crying in the comments section about ronaldo BM or whatever. Can't have nice things. Although sky played a big part in the channels change, they played no part in the audience crying for months about how their fav youtube channel stopped being the way they like it lol. Sam didn't even say anything bad this vid although being honest I only watched 30 mins. But in that he said nothing biased or bad and was quite happy to be on.

As a west ham fan that is what we want, we do not expect the CL, I dont even say we specifically should be EL every season, but we are not at a stage we should be competing for that every season. I love moyes I will call him the best manager we have had in 20+ years but i dont think he can take us forward anymore. Our current style is not sustainable getting dominated in possession most games and scrapping out some results and we have seen that in games like fulham or liverpool when it doesnt work we get smashed. Then I dont believe players like Kudus or Paqueta want to be somewhere playing that style, its not a style that keeps that flair around for more than a year or 2 for example. Hoping maybe the Lille manager dont want to butcher the spelling without googling it, Amorim would be interesting. Our recruitment is there just hope we get a new style in the summer. It may not go right and we may revert but where we are now with the success we had in europe we have to try and kick on or we risk ruining everything built in the last few years

Manchester United are holding Manchester United back. It’s been the same repeating cycle over and over again for the past decade. They go on a terrible run, all the fans start complaining, the manager goes on the hot seat and all looks lost. Then they get a big result and win a few smaller games and then the manager is taken off the hot seat and the fans gain some hope. Then they face a rival (Liverpool, City, Arsenal, PSG, Bayern, any other CL club) and get whooped badly and the cycle starts over again

Chelsea suffered with injuries "to a degree"?! mate... Also, saying West Ham could play more entertaining football based on a bunch of possession stats is misguided. Possession based football does not equal entertaining. Give me fast paced, efficient counter attacks over 40 passes on the edge of the opponents box that end up back at the goalkeeper anyday. And looking at their squad, West Ham would look more like Burnley if they switched to that, Bowen and Antonio's careers would be over instantly

Spanish football is not in a good place because of a terrible league president and unnecessary media bashing like this, if you watch even the lower teams in la liga you'd see why clubs like Madrid and Barcelona struggle against these teams, they have simply gotten better, or more accurately the gap between the top 3 and the others have reduced significantly. Gone are the days where the gap between the Spanish top 3 and frankly the rest of world football was clear, now most top teams are close in power than the media would have you believe. Take Porto vs Arsenal for instance over the course of two legs a team dominating the premier league was held to playing pedestrian passes and making hail mary crosses or the inter vs Atletico game they claim inter SHOULD have won Atleti had double the big chances and double the big chances missed, had more shot and had more shots in target if anyone should have won in regular time it should been Atletico Madrid. This is a good thing for football but the English media is meant to push English superiority, back in 2015 you couldn't tell me a team in the prem that you felt confident could beat Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern hell even Atletico but go back and watch them talk about the champions league back then they always have an English team in their top 5, why? Cause they have been pushing English superiority for decades and with the clear financial superiority of the prem the media is trying to make you see it as on field superiority. They see Madrid and Barcelona struggle against say Villarreal and girona and they say that Barcelona and Madrid are weaker not Villarreal and Girona have gotten stronger but they see Aston villa or Brighton out play a team in the "traditional top 6" and that the beauty of the premier league, the bias is clear and honestly there isn't a single impartial sports news out there, I'd say I can do it but I don't have the platform or the equipment, the best i can do is a comment section rant, which is frankly tiring.
