This is why I love Batman‘s villains. In someway, shape, or form their stories reflect what Batman could’ve been. Poison Ivy has done horrific things for what she believes is right, like how Batman‘s done some pretty messed up things in the name of justice. Victor Zsasz was a rich kid who had his parents murdered in front of him at a young age, which led him to a life of murder. Penguin, much like Bruce Wayne, was a descendent of a rich family, but Penguin is a greedy monster who will do anything if it pays well. And much like Batman, Joker just had one bad day that robbed him of a normal life, but unlike the dark knight the Joker gave into insanity. In someway shape or form Batman can relate to the struggles of the villains and Mr. Freeze is no exception. Much like Batman Mr. freeze had his family ripped away from him, even if the type of family being ripped away is different The pain can be felt all the same. Because of their love for their family, both of Batman & Mr. Freeze are filled with a lust for vengeance. But unlike Victor, Bruce keeps himself in check. He won’t hurt innocent people in the pursuit of his mission but Victor Fries will. Victor doesn’t necessarily want to hurt innocent people, but as he put it here nothing matters except for his beloved Nora.

I’ll add some more for you for the hell of it: Harvey Dent shows us what Batman can become with his over obsession of justice, to the point of hurting innocent people, and shows us what would happen were Batman to fail at his mission. Catwoman is an orphan like Batman, but instead of trying to fix the problems that took away her parents, she indulges in crime. Man-Bat, well, that one’s quite obvious. Bane is Batman taken to the extreme. He’s hyper-intelligent, and hyper-strong. However, with that much power, it corrupts him and makes him an evil person. The Riddler is what happens to people that are obsessed in themselves. That and he always tests Batman’s intellect and problem solving. Black Mask shows us what Batman could be if he sold his principles in order to gain personal profit. Ra’s Al Ghul is Batman, but insane from near immortality. They share the same goal, but have different executions of it. Scarecrow always shows us what Batman fears most in the world, and his challenge is to always overcome it. There’s even more, but for the sake of time, I’ll stop there

Zsasz isn't a rich kid (Atleast in Arkham), he was a poor orphan who gambled everything against Penguin and got scammed outta the only money he had I think you mean Hush, but even then Hush caused his dad's death

@@memememe609 In Arkham City it's stated by Zsasz that his parents were rich and spoiled him, and when they died, he gambled away his money, and when he was thrown out, someone tried to mug him. Remember, Zsasz said he was spoiled, so when someone demanded his money, his entitled mind couldn't handle it. His grief, his pain, his trauma and his embarrassment was too much for him and his killer instincts kicked in, and it was the only satisfying thing left in his life, which made him very dangerous. So to me, Zsasz is Batman if Batman gambled his money instead of supporting Gotham. The result of failing, of being unable to overcome his grief would have made Batman a killer if Gordon wasn't there when he needed it, same with Alfred.

Before the Animated Series, Mr. Freeze was just a bad guy with an ice gun. His origin and character were completely rewritten for his animated appearance and created one of the most impactful, tragic and sympathetic villains in history.

my favourite villanious moment in the arkham series was the introduction with deathstroke in origins. The bass that plays while batman and deathstroke stare eachother out gives me so many memories and still gives me chills every time i play it. One thing that does make it lose some of its greatness is the knowing of how badly his character is in knight (imo!).

Arkham knight is worse. It has a good story, but the amount of time you spend in the batmobile is rather annoying. And the villain boss fights are so disappointing. Origin is probably the second worst as far as story goes but it has the best boss villain fights besides Arkham city.

One of my favourite villainous scenes is in the show Gotham, where it’s revealed Jerome killed his mother. His acting is just phenomenal, truly chilling and the dialogue is perfect

Mr. Freeze is one of my Favorite Villains in the Batman Franchise and I do hope that we'll see him in the Movies cause he's long overdue for a Proper interpretation.

it is a surprise to hear that the first time you heard of Mr. Freeze's backstory was through the Arkham games. besides Two-face and maybe Joker, Mr. Freeze has one of the most famous backstories since its recreation. The Arkham games did Freeze justice in his character, his motivations, and best of all, makes him more than a villain, they made him seem human. He became a monster not for greed, or power but because of his wife and what happened to her. It showed what one man is willing to do for their loved ones and anyone can believe and relate to that to some degree. that anyone could and would do the same. Freeze is another tragic character in the Batman Rouges and that is why he is so good.

This was the first arkham game I got in like 2013 or 14 but I had it on wii u so I never got to play through this dlc myself. Last year or so I got a 360 disc to play on Xbox one and got this dlc to play and I have to say: it is magnificently done. So many great moments throughout. Batman saying "I'll see this one wheeled into blackgate on a gurney" before saying he'll still need it "but not for victor" before the end of the night is legendary. And the fact that they took a fantastic Batman story from the animated series, made it their own in a fantastic re-envisioning of the episode with an angrier freeze, angrier boyle, and angrier batman while also tying in the main story...it all just makes this the best arkham DLC for my money.

There’s two lines Batman says near the end and at the end of the game that makes Mr. Freeze one of my top 3 favourite Batman villains: “All this violence, he’s just trying to save his dying wife” “I’m sorry Victor, I can’t give you peace but I can give you justice” Victor didn’t choose this life, the same case for most of Batman’s rouges (except for example Scarecrow, Professor Pyg, Zsasz, Black Mask, Blackfire, Hush). He was trying to save a life and got condemned for it.

What makes it more sad is that in Arkham knight Nora told freeze her true wishes, Nora did want Victor to stop, she wanted to live with what little time she had with him, she wanted Victor to live a good life

Though I do agree with you, I still like the Ridder from Arkham Knight more. He is such quoteable guy and really funny. Plus, the game does an excellent job at smoothly changing from being a cocky prick, to him being completely consumed with anger over the fact that Batman keeps winning without it feeling like he's turning into a different character. And eventhough I do like the boss fight, I do agree that it would have made more sence if it was a predator boss like Mr Freeze.

You know i would really like to play chess with riddler like imagine this Riddler plays chess with you he cheats when you are looking at your figures when you win he starts to get angry and plays checkers with you when you beat him in there he will do a cup in a ball trick where he cheats so badly that there is a jammer in room so you need to take it down while he isn’t watching if he will catch you he is gonna kill the hostage When you beat him again he will go insane and will hunt you down in his exosuit it’s now the same as freeze fight but he will fly towards you with a jetpack and make an attack

@@tuttiman55 Actually, the original answer is from Greek myth when Oedipus meets the Sphinx travelling to Thebes. It was attacking the Thebans by standing at the gates and repeating that riddle to all who pass either into or out of the city. It poses that riddle to him. If answered wrong the Sphinx would strangle the poor fool who chose unwisely. Oedipus correctly chose "man" as his answer with the same reasoning I provided. This was correct, so the Sphinx allowed him to enter the city of Thebes via killing itself. Greek mythology is a hell of a drug.
