Good review. It accurately reflects most of the owner experience. I find the A-pillar intrusive, but that is the case on many cars today. The door mirrors are excellent though and I have no difficulty seeing cars beside or behind me. I hate parking in tight spaces and the 360 parking camera is a fantastic feature. The way it charges on long trips means I never really have to wait to add a couple hours of range. Bio-break, grab a soda and a snack, and the car is ready to go. Yes, the Lucid drives like no other car. Around town, on the highway, and on twisty back roads the car is simply a joy to drive. It's easy to feel at home and confident behind the wheel. The power is not intimidating... unless you want it to be. Launching it is a visceral experience. My wife says "Never Do THAT Again." OK, not with her in the car :-)

2 big announcements, they're moving to NACS (tesla) charging ports and a working agreement for 2025 model. There will be adapters for earlier models. Also, they just announced a cable so that one lucid can charge another CCS vehicle (including another lucid)

Overall a fair review. I disagree regarding the visibility. I find it completely fine, and in fact the A pillars are smaller than those found on my F350. You get used to it in either case. I agree with the Glass roof. I had to install ceramic tint, which reduces the amount of heat that passes through, but being 6'9", my head is damn near touching the roof, I can feel the heat coming in, and as you can see from my name, I'm in Texas (Dallas area). The Trunk, IMO is completely fine. It's not like I'm going to be hauling a fridge in it but I know it will hold luggage just fine, so IMO your comments are a bit whiny. Mine turns heads all day everyday, and I like that. Funny how everyone wants to race you, but all I can think of is the beginning of Rocky IV "You will lose". And then they do. Personally I bought this car for the pure luxury of the car and range (nice to know the power is there, but I don't need it), and the ride is one of the best I have ever had. Customer Service is available 24/7 and if any shop work has to be done, then send a covered trailer and take it to Houston (for me) and then bring it back within days and pay for it all. I have heard a Dallas service center will open soon, and then loaner cars will be made available. Currently they will re-emburse me on any rentals, and if I have to drive one of my other cars, they will pay for the gas you use if you provide receipts. For any other type of service, the send local techs to your house to work on the cars, which is very nice. Same thing for road side assistance. If you break down or get a flat or whatever, they will send out a service van and if the car needs to be towed, they will bring out a flat bed for local towing, or a covered trailer if they need to take it to a repair center. They go out of their way to please you in the customer service area.

I heard there is a design fault in the electrical system that will take out the BMS and traction battery when the drive motor fails. Do you know anything about this? Definitely a show stopper for me. In addition, their survival is a big gamble as is service. Their software is a bit lacking, and although they have made some good strides at improvements, I’d rather not buy on a promise. Lots of great engineering, I love this car.

My wife and I are picking up our Lucid Touring in a few weeks. Honestly, we'd have probably bought a Tesla, but then their CEO revealed himself to be an awful human being who is using his powerful influence in very negative ways. So we decided to seek alternatives to Tesla and discovered Lucid.

The GT is better than the I7 faster and better driving dynamics & better aesthetically overall
