For sure! One thing I should have mentioned was how smooth the power delivery is. It’s a very forgiving bike. Appreciate that, means allot!

Would you recommend the KTM 500 over the drz400 for a VERY first bike?

I don’t think you could go wrong with either. DRZ would be better for road riding because it’s heavier and the 500 would be better off-road because it’s lighter but both are great at all of it, just comes down to how much you want to spend and what you want.

bro your 500 is restricted, you are missing a big amount of power and torque

Yea but that’s a pricey upgrade and I’ve yet to feel like I really need it. Maybe one day.

No, it is not that expensive, you just need to change the end cap, and get the opened map, here in Austria, we get our bikes derestricted from the factory. So a meet up with an KTM dealer should make the deal, he will map your bike.

@totiwars8333 that’s now how it works here in the states. Dealers suck and they won’t modify your bike especially this one being a road legal bike and turning involving emissions so my option is a aftermarket ECU that’s pretuned. ECU and endcap are $1,500.
