I live a couple hours from the Wall. I sometimes stay there on my way to the Black Hills, sometimes just go there to enjoy it's beauty. It's a popular stop and sometimes no room along the edge despite the many spaces. Last trip (this October), a bighorn ram came up right by my site. Awesome! Enjoy!

@@oneadVANtureatatime living on a mountain on acreage completely surrounded by National Forest for 8 years I learned that inclement weather vastly effects wildlife. Example: When it rains deer and other prey animal like them, cannot hear well in the woods so they move out into open areas/fields so they can at least SEE a predator coming. If they need to bed down while it is raining they do so in a group with individual deer facing in each direction.

Wish we had camped at the wall when we were there but it was calling for rain and I was afraid we’d get stuck…..Instead we camped in a RV Campground right beside Wall Drug which was right next to a railroad crossing so that every time a rail car was sighted at the grain bin next to the Campground the engineer had to blow his horn even when it was during the night. 😂 . Even with the wind you had a much better campsite. I didn’t know the Badlands had campgrounds…..wish we had known that. Well know I know. 😆 Safe travels to you.

We stopped at Wall S. D. In 2001 when we drove to Alaska. It was such a cool place. But Sturgis rally was going on so it was a bit crowded lol.

I bet it was crowded then! They sold a wide variety of Sturgis gear we noticed 😂

i also want a native american flute. i found some online.i just typed in native american flute. their sound is beautifully mesmerizing. The price isn't too bad but of course you can get some expensive ones. they come in different octaves

Right on Skeeter, it may come down to online shopping for our flute as well.😃

Fun thing to do, get a makeup artist to make you look like a statue, wear western clothes and sit on a bench motionless to see how many people sit to take a picture with you

Omg! That’s just the kind of thing I would love to do. 😂😂😂

Poor bonehead Wall Drug. They COULD have been a real destination to get real supplies and such, but they would rather sell useless plastic crap. Ah, capitalism.
