S Thanks, so in this case the clamps that shows on your Kit and specially the one that mounts over the spindle mount will work to direct the hose to the back on the dustboot tube? Or can you please tell me the exactly or part I need to add to kit I need? Again thank u very much

Can't use setup for masso on elite Journeyman. Bracket on top of stiffy can't replace x axis trigger bracket...

What is the height from the table surface? I am drawing plans for an enclosure but I don’t have the OF or the boom yet. Thank you!

The total height from the base of the feet to the top of a 2.5" hose is approximately 29.5". However you can take a look at Myers Woodshop. He uses the Boom in his enclosure and because of hose placement when entering the enclosure he was able to uses the same tubing but rearrange the order and brought the total height to 26.5". Let me know if you have any other questions

Thanks I personally I have a small shop so I only have the machinist. However I am really good friends with Myers Woodshop and him being a beta tester allows me to have access to the journeyman etc. I love the journeyman and being able to put a 4’ piece of ply wood in there. I still love the Makita router because it does 100% of what I need. I recommend going this route than as projects come in if the router is not enough than upgrade to the 80mm mount. Also FYI I have a new hose boom video coming out that explains all the different options such as spindles and the journeyman

I have the elite foreman with the stiffy bar. I have a four inch and 2 inch hose I can use. Can you tell me vacuum hose boom and do you suggest the 2 or 4 inch hose?

Hey Mike. You will need the Elite hoseboom with 4” clips. I also have 2.5” clips but I do not have 2” clips

What are your thoughts about using this with the wall mount system? I recently purchased the wall mount and need to find a way to suspend the cable/dust collection. Do you think that even with the slight play between the tubing and the mount that there will be enough friction to hold the boom arm in the hole? My wall mount is just slightly off 90, maybe like 87 degrees, so it is slightly leaning in which I would think would help. Any thoughts appreciated!

I would rather use velcro to attach anything. I use them to do my cable dressing, hang graden items in my shed to keep it organized. and much more.

Yes it does. When you order you will not need clips and mention that you plan on using a 4" hose and I will throw in some additional zip ties so you can strap it down.

why not just use a cable track for the cables and zip tie the dust hose to it as well. it could be attached to the stiffy x axis member. also do a cable track for y axis on left side. keep all cables in those areas nice and tidy.....

Jason I had that thought but could not come up with a design where the vacuum hose did not interfere with movement to the extremes. Especially with those long cut jobs. I am curious what you come up with. Post a link

Seeing you cut those zip ties with a scissors stressed me out so bad! Use a flush cutters. Those cut ends are like razor blades
