That’s beautiful! I took my husband’s name 47 years ago… I took very seriously my ‘bearing of his name and that of his family’s name’ …my family of origin was not at all like my new family. It’s such a good analogy for what the commandment means, in representation, responsibility and benefit.

Each time I listen to OFI, another treasure is unlocked, and I am richer than before. I appreciate you all so much. Regarding Paul, I also see him as being blind before He met the Lord on the Damascus rd., in his spirit and mind. His encounter manifested in the physical what he was already on the inside. His 3 days of helplessness and blindness while he prayed was a real "set up" from the Lord, so that a Witness (Ananias) could be sent to show Paul God's purpose and power through His church. It is easy to see in such places like 2Corinth.3 Paul could draw from his own experience and testimony to benefit the Corinthians, and states the results of one turning to the Lord....2Co 3:16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

This was 9 months ago but it's new to me. Fascinating to hear you refer to Joseph. I have had his story on my mind yet seldom have heard anything related to him in dicussing the rest of the family. We are told to "put on Christ", He is love, compassion, patience. kindness, forgiveness. He is a good listener. He hears with His heart. To be like Him, is to truely become the image of Christ in character as much as we can learn to do so. It takes Bible study to get to know Him, it takes cultivating a relationship with Him. It takes His strength to stand up to the wiles of the evil one who goes to and fro- seeking whom he can devour. The target is God's Chosen. It's his last stand. He knows he goes down! The Victory is already won. Jesus said, This is my commandment. That ye love one another that your joy may be full. Love is the power. When we all unite- its done. Love yall, May the power of the Holy Spirit fall on all the body of Christ everywhere. And I pray for Israel protection and deliverance. Thank you guys for this ministry. WOW!! The Arc of The Covenant!! When they were talking about the two copies of the 10 commandments and having two copies, one for Him and one for us, I couldn't help, but think of The Arc of The Covenant! Having the 10 commandments inside! God's own copy in The Arc of The Covenant that was also His seat and dwelling place among the people! And they carried it before them and it would defeat their enemies! So many things to consider together! It's beautiful!

Thank you for teaching. As gentile Christians, we are enriched by the Hebrew understanding. In a class I took on bibliology/hermeneutics, in discussing types we had an assignment to make parallels between Joshua and Jesus. Our teacher pointed out it is a strong "type", but not mentioned in the New Testament.

Interesting, Joshua's act of bringing Israel into the promised land is kind of a type of Jesus openning a new life for us and ushering us into a salivation that's marvelous. But there are giants and kings or strongholds of the self-life that need to be destroyed. In Hebrews 4:8 it mentions Joshua couldn't give them rest. Only Jesus Christ offers true rest. Mt.11:28. Just a thought.

I have thought of the two tablets issue, in my mind, the two tablets were not divided 5-5 as you stated, but divided between those commandments that are directed to God and those that are directed to our fellow man. Its deep, its also widened to mean, when praying or asking something in Jesus name, proclaiming things. When Jesus Yeshua said what ever you ask in my name it is given to you or Healing in Jesus name its meaning when you are aligned with God its HolySpirit in you praying things according to will of God and then it happens.
