My thoughts exactly. If he improves his ball transfer skills and quickens his release my goodness. Though I will say that Shawon Dunston's arm was pretty close, and no it's not hazy nostalgia lol. I'm with you I could watch Andrelton Simmons highlights for hours.

He does it for accuracy, has to be.. its like a switch on a glock it becomes so powerful it loses accuracy and spits everywhere that's why youngings love em so much. But those double pumps gotta be to get a grip on the seams because he's really flinging that thing

Actually, Cruz can and does release very quickly when necessary, he has very quick feet much like Crawford with the Giants, he can do it, he'll get better with time ... 97 mph with a flick motion, this kid is the real deal .. if he can hit consistently..big "if" I know

I’ve said this in other comments, but I feel like it has not been addressed. If he’s throwing so hard and barely getting the runner out on a routine play, and some of them were not routine, for sure, but sone of them were - Is he hesitating too much, is he taking too long to load his throw, what’s going on? Is he making routine plays look harder because he can’t field his position? I mean there must be some explanation. If it takes an absolute laser to get the guy out on a routine play and you’re barely getting him out…. Why does it take an absolute laser?
