What I think is neat is that the astrological tower was an attempt to map the night sky to correlate the time of the year over the years to map planting seasons, monsoon seasons........and so on and to push back against superstitions. It is a testament to people all throughout history in all parts of the world who believed and worked to make the future better.

I saw them cutting the grass on one of these burial mounds years ago. They have a post with a long rope at the very top of the mound and attach a lawnmower to the end of the rope at the bottom. Then starting at the bottom, they would walk around the whole thing while mowing the grass and then after the first lap they would shorten the rope a little bit and mow around again except higher up the mound. They would keep doing this until they reach the top. Pretty clever since the rope is doing a lot of the work holding the lawnmower from sliding down the side of the mound. Not sure how they did it in ancient times tho.

We actually have many of those similar kind of tombs around the Gyoungsangnamdo area which are from Gaya dynasty(had been merged to Silla). Btw, That yellow tofu looks like is the steamed eggs.😃 And the prints, (Jikjisimgyoung) is currently in National Museum of France. If you guys have extra time, you may also visit a place called Najeong, The place is related to Bakhyoukgeose, the first king of Silla. Nothing else to see but the pine trees were impressive(in my opinion). Other than the hystorical places, there are a big lake and you can take a bicycle or other rides along the lake. Donggung and Wolji(used to call as Anapji) are beautiful especially after the sunset due to the special lightings. Enjoy Gyoungju. Thanks for sharing. Take care. 🌸🌸🍀

"Gyeongju" was a famous field trip (I don't know if this is the correct term) during my school days (80s-90s). 2-3 schools in Seoul rented the whole train and went down to "Gyeongju" for a 3 day 2 night school trip. I remember that like any other middle and high school students, I was ignorant of the historical importance and meaning of the Gyeongju area and just focused on playing. However, there are many historical relics in Gyeongju, and I think it is an important area where you can discover the greatness of our ancestors (I am Korean). It is an area I would like to take the time to visit again. It is a pity that there is no information about visiting Seokguram Grotto of Bulguksa Temple. It is a very high-level geometric building. Anyway, as someone who enjoys your travels, I want to say that I am enjoying your videos.

Tofu is Japanese word for '두부'(dubu). Miso is a quite different kind of fermented soybean paste. Korean one is '된장'(do-en Jang).

Your whole Korean trip vlog is definitely very entertaining and informative. Kudos to both of you for covering a lot of interesting places (and things to do and eat when in Korea). I love to go there even more!!!! There's just 1 thing that I'd like to point out if I may.. dont mean to bash and it's not my intention at all but maybe.. just maybe Tia could minimize the time when she's trying mention a place or something that she's unsure about a pronunciation.. she tends to say it like a question form waiting for confirmation. I think everyone would understand that she wont be able to pronounce every word perfectly so I guess just blurt it out and say them confidently. Just saying.. but overall you're both doing so well and we can really say that you're having so much fun! ENjoy and be safe!!!

Good to eat a variety of foods in traveling come in contact with the culture of the country An open mind is required when experiencing the food of that country. In that respect, the trip of the two of you is very positive. Racing is better than seeing Seeing with the chest is worth more Have a nice tour Korea with four seasons Than the hot summer and rainy season Spring or fall is the best time to travel after a long time If you visit Korea again Be sure to come in spring or fall I wish you both good health and good luck

Surprisingly, no. It cost $12 to retrieve the chord and that particular one sells for $59 😅 That being said, we did check several electronic stores in Gyeongju and none had a USB-C to MagSafe 3 chord. I think it was more difficult to find because Apple introduced this particular chord less than a year ago, so it hasn't had time to make its way into most stores.

That being said, we spent a big chunk of the previous afternoon & evening searching for a replacement chord and couldn’t find one anywhere in Gyeongju.
