8T is not a waste for sure. But the 7T pro feels more to be a flagship and premium compared to 8T.

Unfortunately no. Nowadays all smartphones have proper network-related hardware. So there will be no difference in signal quality based on your device. I have the same problem in my apartment and I change phones a lot. It doesn't help.
