Seems like a pretty good device at a reasonable price. As I see it, there are just 4 things missing that would be the icing on the cake: -an OLED screen - the stylus being included in the box, like Samsung does - an alternative to desktop modes like Samsung Dex or Motorola's Ready For - increased software support

Remember to use a OnePlus cable.. something in the wiring triggers the full OnePlus charging experience. That charging consists of doing voltage conversion inside the charger to reduce heat (you normally love that), then also cues the charger to send/accept power coming down two wires to charge two batteries inside the phone at the same time. It both reduces heat AND doubles the speed. Win win. There is also measuring going on to test if the wires can handle the speed. I've recently bought some red colored cables which were sold as official, but after testing, I've found that they triggered the graphic on the phone to say vooc 100 watt (here in Denmark) but simply by watching the percentage increase (using a stop watch) could see that the phone/charger was throttling it almost immediately. Of course I won't use those two new fake oneplus on my OnePlus devices. I don't know if the tablets have the double battery setup, but am assuming so.... Now back to watching your video..... Oh, and also I've tested my official OnePlus cables and chargers and found that certain computers (wife's Lenovo, my surface book 2) don't trigger the usb power delivery to even be able to charge and phones like the pixel 7 charge slowly. I have a 65 watt charger from OnePlus 8t. I also have two 100 watt chargers for the OnePlus 12 (the included one and the dual charger I bought on your recommendation) Oh, by the way try to review the cheap 8 speaker Lenovo tablet if you get a chance with you being a sound nerd. It works as a Bluetooth speaker for other devices. Works well, sounds nice. Double digression completed. NOW back to watching your video!

I really appreciate how intuitive OnePlus is getting. When my wife is ready to leave her current iPad, I think I will nudge her in this direction. To me, Apple's UI/UX on the iPad is really not intuitive so this is refreshing!

Such a shame it is getting only three major updates. People tend to keep tablets for longer than smartphones. If Google and Samsung are offering 7 years of major updates, OnePlus should step up their game. This might be the best Android tablet to date. If it offered 5+ years of updates I'd buy it right away!

I've a Chromebook Lenovo IdeaPad Duet - 'till juni 2030 software & security updates. But I'm curious how long it will remain flexible - smooth running. [because the MediaTek processor supports only 32-bits OS and max of 4 RAM] I consider it as a piece of technical art work - so I'll put it on the wall to see if it makes it to 2030.

Seven years of update means nothing if the repair is expensive and no easy spare part availability. Also, most people use smartphones and tablets between two to four years on average, which makes the seven year support seems somewhat overkill. And another thing: There are lots of Android devices above $500 that doesn't even have at least two OS updates.

Charger won't be in every box, you get the chance to add it as a free gift when ordering but in Europe for exempel its not in the tablet box

I do hope Oppo and OnePlus can co-develop their own custom flavour of Android Desktop Mode. It's a real shame to see x86-rivalling mobile SoC going to waste without PC capability. It can also be a worthy alternative to Samsung Galaxy Tab S series.

ngl i love this tab but let me tell u something/.... it copy the home screen look from apple ,,, multi tasking taskbar from samsung .... sidebar is kind of similler to samsung ... the notification panal is mixer of apple and colouros its kind of similler to lenovos ....the app drower is official but the other app drawer is simmiler to samsung dex or lenovos pc mode..... so well even though its like this the tab has good performance batterylife and big enough so u can get it

Oxygen OS may be heavier than it was. I never used the older OOS. But it is a tiny launcher compared to the likes of scamsung and the bloated POS they use on their devices. Plus that OP actually lets you remove some apps you know you’re never going to use. Much like Apple. I don’t like bloat ware and I don’t like harbinger apps. Harbinger apps are apps you’re forced to keep on your device that steal space, run in the background using resources. You can never get rid of. And kill your device performance, making it a virtual boat anchor. They are the harbinger of death for the investment you made and have zero control over. Here’s looking at the king of harbinger ware, Scamsung.

As a Pixel 8 Pro user... I'm super glad it ISN'T a Pixel Tablet. It doesn't need to do the same thing. The Pixel tablet was a disappointment across the board in every conceivable metric. While this pad seems to be anything but a disappointment.
