Hey Guys... The compatibility of the Stylo 2 with the OnePlus Pad 1 has now been made official. Check the Stylo 2 product page. Finally after 2 months of this video, it's now confirmed 😊

Do note that the official Stylo 2 page still doesn't show it as compatible with Pad 1 and there is no official statement yet regarding the compatibility. But earlier Stylo 2 never got connected to Pad 1, which changed. So I guess the official statement is due and should be around the corner. Will update if I find any official info regarding this.

Today I got the stylo 2, ordered it from Flipkart, and thank God it's working properly on my pad 1. I was little scared about its compatibility but finally it worked as you explained in the video. When i saw your video i took a risk and decided to get the Stylo 2 to pair it with my pad 1. Upon recieving the stylo it cannot connect and i was so frustrated that it didn't work. But after 2/3 software updates it miraculously connected and worked fine till date. I give my heartiest thanks to you dear sir.

After watching your video, Today I bought oneplus stylo 2 pen from oneplus offline store and it costed me around 5499/- Rs. My Stylo 2 is working perfectly fine with my Oneplus pad. It got connected easily just turn on Bluetooth and attach it with tab. Working perfectly fine. For others please go for it and buy stylo 2 for your oneplus pad. Just remember that softer update that mentioned in the video you got in your tab.

Hi... They are not identical as the pin on the inside is different, so can't be interchanged. Extra nibs i doubt are available anywhere. You have to buy a new stylo or search for used ones.

Hi, thank you for this video..i took a chance with purchasing Stylo 2 for my one plus pad and it works perfectly. Started using it yesterday Key things to remember - This is not officially announced yet, but it works.It's a great help for the ones looking for an orginal Stylo for their 1st gen pad - the Oneplus Pad needs to be updated to rhe latest version, as shown in the video.only then the stylo 2 will work.this is absolutely crucial and important. - once you get the stylo connected, i would advise against updating the stylo firmware.i did that and the stylo wouldn't connect for sometime. Eventually, it worked. I would suggest not to update the stylo firmware for now (until Oneplus makes this official) Hope this helps.thanks!

​@@mayankrathore9938 so when you get the stylus connected and go to the stylus settings on your pad, there you see an option of firmware update for the stylus. There are also other settings for the stylus, to customise some features. This firmware is only for the stylus and not for the pad. In my opinion you can hold on to this firmware update for the stylus for now. Maybe in the future. This is my personal opinion. If anyone else agrees/ disagrees.. happy to get some feedback.. thanks

If you see the video, I showed that it does. OnePlus customer service always read the spec sheet and do not have proper knowledge. Next time take your Pad 1 with you and try connecting the demo stylus 2 with pad 1 and you can teach them that they are wrong.

Hey... I did face some slight lag with 3rd party apps but not with OnePlus notes during my usage. Currently, I do not have the Pad 2 as it was a review unit. I have the Pad 1 and Stylo 2 as of now.

Yes, you can use 3rd party notes application too, but the gesture, feedback/vibrations, audio won't work with them. And drag and drop using the file dock feature of oxygen OS should be possible, nothing specific to stylus though.

None of the universal pen work well with the Pad 1. They don't have palm rejection, so no point in buying. Only way is to have gloves and use them. Would you still be interested?

Not much latency with Default notes app but with some 3rd party notes app, there could be slight latency. It's good for notes but not as good as Samsung SPen tablets I guess

Android Tabs ke liye Bluetooth stylus mere hisaab se nahi hain kuch. Wo Non-Bluetooth hoga jo directly kaam karega agar compatible hain toh. Bas charged hona chahiye stylus.

@@saadatmantoo870 I have not used the apple pencil, so can't comment on that. But this stylo is good.. not as great as SPen but does the job. With OnePlus notes it works the best, with third party apps it's ok. For notes taking too options are limited, I find SPen to be much better in that aspect due to the inbuilt software options.

No alternatives, I have tried many ones in the market but none of them worked on pad 1. And if you really need for notes making, then the stylo 2 is the only option left with you.
