DISCLAIMER: Thank you those who pointed out Tep-esh and Bel-nah-dez... I don't know where my head was at. HOWEVER, for THIS game, they say Wala-keeya... and in Curse of Darkness they say Vala-shia. I AM aware of how it is pronounced in real life, but I am saying it how the game does (don't shoot the messenger). This is where the series starts to add more lore to its world and characters, and like many trilogies, makes the third one a prequel origin story. Of course, this game has gained more acclaim since this is the one the current Netflix animated series is based off of (will we see Grant next?). I like how this one emphasized replayability with the level and route varieties, as well as how different each character plays; it really helps form a lot of the design though process for later installments. Still working on Tales of Symphonia, so please enjoy Castlevanias in the meanwhile.

Oni Black Mage are you just referring to the trilogy as the start because Lament of innocence with Leon was the start of the series as far as the timeline goes. Just asking because you refer to Curse of Darkness a lot as a reference and that was the sequel model for that game.

Yeah, I cringed so hard when I saw that in-game audio & subtitles and in the manual they mistranslated Walachia. Dx (They got it right in SotN though.) So I understand the mistake in the video.

@@CastlevaniaDXC and if you read the official Castlevania book he does fight Dracula it said well technically because every single Castlevania game has him in it except for certain ones because it's Soma who becomes Dracula then technically is very first Belmont to ever kill Dracula will be Julius Belmont 1999 as also foreshadowed by st-germain in Castlevania curse of Darkness when he tells of going into the future I'm waiting to see who shall wins between the humans and Dracula so technically he only dies 1999 because dies for good because technically every other supposed time he dies he's always just resurrected by some evil cultist group or some other evil bastard such as Shaft

Considering the word Wallachia is Germanic in original it should be roughly vall-A-keeya, but it's a minor quibble of a word like 800 years old based on a language from a different branch of the Indo-European tree not spoken in the region bearing it's name.

'Wallachia' is pronounced 'Vala-HEE-a'. The 'C' is silent. Also, it's odd this game gives everyone using English names, when England is on the other side of Europe, Wallahia (Valahia as it should be spelled) is southern Romania, in Eastern Europe. It's an odd blend, like going to New York and everyone is Scottish for some inexplicable reason

In real life, yes, but in the context of this game's fictional version, they say Wala-keeya all the time (source: the show) so I said it that way. In Castlevania, Curse of Darkness, they change it to Valachia and pronounce it Valay-shia, and when that video comes, I will say it Valay-shia because THAT is how the game says it.
