Modern Idolatry So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. -Colossians 3:5 People get excited about a lot of things. They may not call them their gods, but in effect they are. What is the focus of your life? That, for all practical purposes, is your god. And when you come up with your own version of God, then you essentially have another god before Him. The apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Colosse, “So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming” (Colossians 3:5-6) Interestingly, Paul talked about sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. We have a sex-obsessed culture. And for some people, everything is a double entendre. Their minds are always in the gutter. Paul also warned about greed. Some people always want what others have. We might think that only those who are wealthy have a problem with idolatry. Maybe they do. And maybe they don’t. We can’t see their hearts. But we can have very little in terms of material possessions and still make an idol out of things. We don’t have to be wealthy. Sometimes we’re simply obsessed with money. The Bible says, “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10) Notice this doesn’t say that money is the root of all kinds evil. Rather, it says the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. The problem is always wanting what others have. We can make idols out of possessions. And they can become more important to us than God Himself. The Bible says, “You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him” (Matthew 4:10). He will never disappoint you. He will never let you down. But every person will in some way. Sometimes people keep us from God. A relationship pulls us away from Him, and we realize that if we really follow the Lord, we could lose our relationship that individual. Yes, we could. And it might be a choice that some of us have to make. Is someone dragging you down spiritually? Jesus said, “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine” (Matthew 10:37) The gods we create in our minds really are not gods at all. They’re just false images that can’t do anything for us. Will those gods save you in that final day? Will those gods give you the strength you need in your moment of crisis? And will those gods forgive you of your sins? If not, they’re false gods. Turn to the true and living God.

Whoa, WHOA Sherlock! Calm your head, Sherlock! We still need you to solve the mysteries around the world. Now stop shaking and steady your aim ok? Focus on one subject. So, first i was a cheater (which is some people's escape route with zero evidence when they see something they can't do or can barely do with their level of skill. So they just assume anyone who plays better than them is automatically a cheater) THEN... when confronted: "you iz noob" (suddenly) XD About the in-video commentary regarding "fictional figures." That's why the warning was added at [4:41 to 4:55] for sensetive butthurt people like yourself who mix fiction with reality :) Never even said that i was the best at this game or any other game. But hey... i managed to get a perfect S rank in the highest difficulty despite being a "noob who misses easy criticals" damn that must be astonishing! :D

So glad to be watching this. 3 hours so far. This is so freaking expressive, shows how much one can be commited to an over-average walkthrough. I'm learning new things, feeling nostalgia, having fun and reading every subtitle. It's notable the work you had to put all of it together. It's respectable. Spectacular, even. You even fit Heihachi in. It's like the WHOLE GAME explained, for newcomers who have never put their eyes on it as well as experienced or middle-term players. Makes me want to see the list being updated, makes me thrill that you're not just "only critical" player. I picture that you're really playing it, challenging yourself but accepting flaws. I have never seen a better no-audio-commentary gameplay video in my life. I'm cherishing it, and I thank you for that. Now I'm going up here and see Samanosuke's first Dark Realm. You're great.

For example, I had no idea that there were special demon realms that only appeared on hard and devilish. Also, I completely agree about the ultimate weapons. They're pretty worthless in this game.

XLHGladiator Promote your channel and video uploads on game forums and put tags and give it a great description. Put time stamps in the description like boss fights and important stages where you could find valuable items in the game like the I forget what you call it the bonus that makes your life and magic longer.
@XLHGladiator8 жыл бұрын
I do that sometimes in the description. But forums and other discussion websites, i don't go to those anymore... I used to, back in 2003-2006 with my dial-up connection XD Don't you worry, i'm actually pretty ok with what my channel have now. Of course, i appreciate all people who share my stuff with other gamers anywhere else.

XLHGladiator I am very happy someone made a long play of this game! Among action adventures kind of beat em up like genre Onimusha is my favorite and also Yakuza no matter what they say that its controls is very similar to Resident Evil and slow pace fighting compared to Devil May Cry and God Of War that is unrealistic fighting and fast with combos. In your opinion Which is Better Onimusha, Devil May Cry, God Of War or Shadow Of Rome? You think Capcom will make Onimusha 5 - 7 for the Playstation 4? Onimusha: Warlords and Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny are the best in the series! For me Oni Dreams sucks big time and their time skip of the story really sucks! Onimusha 3: Demon Siege, I don't like its time travel story and having a past and modern present Onimusha to and interchanging time to go back to the past and present to fight the Genma. I dislike the Tengu Ako they make it a little fantasy like story. It doesn't feel like your playing a real Samurai Japanese game! Well Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny is the best for me! I've finished it a lot of times! What are your thoughts to all of the Onimusha games including Onimusha: Blade Warriors in Japanese if I am correct Onimusha Buraiden or Onimusha Gaiden.
@XLHGladiator8 жыл бұрын
Cute Filipino DMC3 had the best combat and still No.1 for me until this day. Other DMC games are mediocre at best... so my answer to your question is, DMC3. Can't compare the whole series to the other games you've mentioned. For example, i like Onimusha 3 more than DMC4. The story of Oni3 is so bad, no question about it. But i like its combat the most. Oni2 is my second favorite if not on par with Oni3. But that gift giving was bothering me when i was playing Oni2. I would like to get my whole moves by upgrading my weapons not by randomly giving gifts to people. I have only played the original series, Oni1, 2, 3 and Down of Dreams. The first one was probably my least favorite. I do hope, Capcom would make a new Onimusha game one day, but even if they didn't, i got Nioh to keep me excited... it's going to release next year ^^
