Back when we were kids, I never even heard about parmesan cheese, the only cheeses we knew about was cheddar, cream cheese and cheese whiz. Even lasagne was only heard of in restaurants. Hamburger was only used for meatballs in spaghetti, hamburger gravy or shepherd's pie, maybe meatloaf occasionally. Today most homes have extensive food knowledge and there isn't much that we hadn't tried. I like that you go back to basics and add a few twists.

Thats a nice switch for meatball dish. I can imagine the fragrant smell it produced. Love carameled onions. One can add 1 teaspoon of sugar to the browning of the onions to caramelize as well. Works great and the color of them is spot on. Hot rolls to the meal with butter and honey would go great with your dinner. Wish i were there to sample your amazing meal... on second thought for get the sample. I would want a bowl full. Tfs ❤
