TX-NR616 setup screen starts from Odyssey, not showing the home screen. Can't run microphone setup. Any solution for this issue.

Get the TX-NR609. Works perfectly. The 616 has many issues.

there have been so many horror stories about the stand-by pass through failing, also the 2nd HDMI failing after a certain point or just not working at all. Did you have any issues with your unit similar to what I've described? I've really been eyeing this receiver however the reviews have been keeping me from it.

What is the size of that fan? I really want to change mine with a new one which ain't making the rotation noise. The rotation noise I'm talking about is that it seems it could either be some electronic issue or the fan may be hitting something while rotating or bending over to one of the sides while rotating, the receiver ain't making such noises as it makes when the fan starts rotating, so changing the fan would be the best idea as i could say due to the problem I have. Otherwise, I love this receiver, it's great for movies, music, gaming, radio and with/for all the other features it got. Please, I would love to know the size of that fan so I can exchange it with a newer and most likely a better one.

This Sounds like You switched It off straight away after using. I always let mine Cool down first. You probably Warped a Blade on the fan with the heat. In Five Years of running It till You can cook a Egg on It I have had No Issues at all. Unlike the Sony one which set alight. Lol.

You should run an optical out cable from your TV into the TV/CD optical in on the Onkyo receiver. Then setup another input and tell the receiver to use the TV/CD Optical in as the audio input. So, when you select that input on your receiver you will see your TV apps and hear the audio coming from them.

I never knew the Volume Knob Glowed. I always thought It was a Cosmetic white band. How do You turn It on??. Nothing In the Instructions I had with the Amp.

Using the dimmer button on the front panel- there are two Totally Bright settings, one is with the volume button lit. All other dimmer settings (keep clicking) have the volume button light off.

The apps are on your TV so the sound is coming from your TV, you will have to connect the OUT on your TV to your amp for the sound to come out of your speakers

Onkyo has extended the warranty till 2019 on all receivers (with "No Sound audio issues"made in 2012 and up. It was a faulty DTS chip on the HDMI board.They pay for all shipping and a new modified HDMI board for free. Check their website to see if your receiver is eliglble

Just clean the chip 😂😂😂 picked one up for £15 saying they had sparodic sound loss, wiped the chip hasn’t missed a sound 😂👍🏻

Onkyo receivers are great but have numerous problems with their HDMI boards. My 707 died after 1 year. Since I couldn't find the receipt(my fault) could not get it fixed under warranty.

The owner reviews of this unit are quite negative. All of them complain about the build quality of this unit. Issues with sound throughput. Check the reviews on Amazon, Newegg etc Will be getting a 717

onkyo makes great receivers unfortunately their QC stinks that's how it's always been, so if you do decide on this unit be sure there's a full warranty

Onkyo build quality is crap. Had my $1000 NR 818 for two days before the power supply failed. Exchanged it for an Yamaha 675.

I'm afraid it's a piece of crap. It was lovely when it worked but then it failed. And once it failed, it really failed!!! And when you email Onkyo, they act like it's a total surprise to them. But then a simple Google will tell you that it's common for it to lose sound/network/ability to upgrade etc etc etc. Steer clear.
