After more than 80 videos describing Project Management terminology, I decided to see which are the most popular videos. It's a snapshot, of course. Maybe I should re-do this in a year or so!

Thanks for this. I changed careers from Pilot, to PM. (Due to reasons of war and instabilities in my region). Moved to Africa and took on Agricultural and Architectural Development projects. (Mainly in the rurals). I only was in the right place at the right time, that gave me the opportunity to start. Then used my common sense to lead and manage the projects in hand with an International Company. So you're helping me with my inferiority complex (if you may), and I'm thankful for your contributions in the domain of knowledge related to projects. Thanks very much Mr. Clayton, sir.

Hello Online PM course, I absolutely get enlightened by your content and enjoy the delivery. Please can you look into the audio output; the audio is often low and I am unable to clearly pick what you say, would appreciate if this can be looked into, as sometimes I am only able to do audio only. Once more many thanks on your amazing detailed contents.
@Onlinepmcourses2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. On all the devices I own, the audio here is fine. Remember that you can control levels both on your device and in the KZbin interface. I do aim to normalize all my content to -6dB, which is pretty standard to all KZbinrs. But I also do pay attention to it in every edit.

Mike - I'm curious... What do you think of the notion that the preference for PERT or CP is based mainly on whether your organization likes to Whiteboard or uses Software?
@Onlinepmcourses3 жыл бұрын
I have never heard this, and can't see why it might be the case. I certainly have seen no evidence. There are doubtless software tools for both approaches. CPM tends to be more deterministic, so if there are systematic differences in usage, I'd expect it to be favored in industries like civil engineering, whereas the more probabilistic approach of PERT would make it more useful in R&D-focused industries. I suppose, with activities of arrows, PERT would be easier to draw long-hand, so maybe that's the origin of a PERT-Whiteboard preference. But that has the sound of a 'convenient explanation' to me, rather than a piece of supporting evidence.

Thanks for this great video; please I really need a help I was working in just the operations, now I am in a position where I need to handle projects and renewals , where to find the terms I need for that . PRF RFP RFO RFQ BOQ POE CAPEX OPEX At what chapter in PM Can I find them? If it is not within the PM , where Can I find them ?
@Onlinepmcourses4 жыл бұрын
Eisa, thank you. Some of those acronyms may be internal to your organization, so my tip is always to just ask people. Some are generic and I do recognize them. what I don't know is whether they are used in this way within your org. None of the ones I know are exclusively PM terms. All seem to revolve around Cost Management and Procurement. So do take a look at these two articles to put them in context: - onlinepmcourses.com/project-cost-management-essential-things/ - onlinepmcourses.com/project-procurement-management/ RFP: Request for Proposal RFO: Request for Offer RFQ: Request for Quotation BOQ: Bill of Quantities POE: Proof of Execution CAPEX: Captital Expenditure OPEX: Operational Expenditure

dear, i have a task how to encourage two teams that work over the same Project, can you please help? do you have video about it?
@Onlinepmcourses4 жыл бұрын
Aleksandra, unfortunately that's a topic I've not created a resource about. But the principle is clear... While respecting the identities of the two teams, your job is to find a way to meld the two teams into one 'super-team'.
