IMPORTANT . . . If you do decide to open the can puzzles, please use a rim cut can opener (also called smooth or side cut). This cuts the can from the side of the top 1/2 through the crimp. This will keep the top lid and can in good condition and the top will still function as a working lid without ruining it.

I was going to post similar advice. I believe they're called safety can openers. I would further suggest that you either practice on less important cans before using it on those puzzles, or alternatively if one of your friends has one and is familiar with them, let them open the cans. These can be tricky to learn how to use.

One of the BEST things about this video is because every unboxing part was filmed individually when they arrived, Karen is full of enthusiasm in every shot, and doesn't slow down 😊. I'd want to try the moving puzzle. Just to find out if you can roll them into a tube by connecting the left edge with the right one. My favourite motif is the Gumball machine from springbok. That "punch" of bright red color on black background is definitely for me 😊

A note on the cans without a pull tab-- sometimes old games' tops can be pried up on the edge instead of using an opener that cuts the lid. It allows the can to be reclosed

As someone who works in museum/gallery collections AND is a puzzle enthusiast, these videos are sooo satisfying haha. Love hearing your collecting logic and goals! Also I really recommend hanging a sheet of plastic over your collection (though it's not the cutest), to protect from unexpected water leaks. Also, keeping them in the shade as much as possible to reduce bleaching overtime :). At the same time, displaying your collection is part of enjoying your collection, so no pressure! Just a tips! ❤️

I loved the puzzles in a can. As a Ford enthusiasts Id collect the blue oval stuff even if I didnt collect puzzles. One bit of advice would be to use a can opener that cuts thru the rolled seal from the side. Then you won't have sharp edges and you can put the top back on the can like a lid. Thanks, you are the BEST!

Hi Karen. May I suggest that if you open the can puzzles to use a Safe Cut can opener. They cut the lid from the side instead of through the top. You can also put the lid back on and either tape it down, or put a plastic lid over it. I think that would be the BEST way to do it. I like the Moving puzzle. It would be neat to have several of them to connect to each other. Congrats on your finds.

One of the BEST things that has come from me stumbling over your channel and videos is reigniting my love for jigsaw puzzles again - I used to do them with my gran (she died age 93 a couple years ago) and doing them again now makes me feel a little closer to her, so thank you for that. Incidentally, my renewed love of jigsaws has now spread through the other women in my family (aunts) and we're all now falling back in love with jigsaws! I still need to finish the HP jigsaw I got for xmas... I keep avoiding it because the only section that's left is a near 2 foot expanse of solid black... which it turns out, I'm not very good at! I did however find some really fun random-cut puzzles that I really love. I think the one I want to see solved most is either the pill puzzle or the womens empowerment puzzle, they're really interesting to me.

Ah, the Ford Fiesta Movement. What a blast from the past! :D I watched a ton of people do it and I might very well be forgetting some, but the ones who come to mind are you, Michael Aranda, Kristina Horner, Olga Kay... maybe Brittani Louise Taylor? Joe Penna, I'm pretty sure... probably others too, who knows! Were you the one who had to learn to drive in order to do it, or was that someone else? I'm only thinking it might have been you because of where you grew up. It seems like the sort of place where driving wouldn't be a huge necessity to get around like it is in the vast deserts of West Texas, where I live. In any case, thanks for reminding me of it. Those can puzzles are neat and if you do open them please do from the bottom and hopefully a snap on lid can be used to save the pieces in the cans. A fun video Karen as usual as you do all with real enthusiasm. I also knew you would solve that little puzzle at the genius level and yes you are the "best" in the joy you radiate with what you do!

Most of the tins came with the lid, but hopefully she can find a lid that fits the tin that doesn’t have one.

Even better - use a safety opener that cuts through the folded edge and leaves an usable lid.

Love your puzzle reviews. I remember working on Little Red Riding-hood’s Hood as a kid in the 60’s or 70’s. I don’t know what happened to the puzzle. It was on a table in our living room for what seem like years. It was never finished. I would love to try that puzzle again. I was approximately 9-13 years old when we had the puzzle. I’m 68 now.😆

I live in the Houston area and the BEST building always fascinated me as a kid. I have no idea how long it was before I realized that the building was designed that way and wasn't just dilapidated. Very cool to see it in puzzle form here!

The Broken Records puzzle is about the most 80's illustration you could find, its perfect :D I really can't wait to get hold of the Eeboo Alchemists Kitchen, its not out in the UK yet, but I'm hoping they release it here!!! I just managed to get hold of their UFO Victorian Ladies puzzle, that ebay purchase should be arriving any day now. That wasn't released here I dont think!

it feld wild when you were talking about a rebecca sending you something while you were speaking about actually doing the Pokemon Puzzle during that time. Since I am a rebecca doing the pokemon puzzle at the moment you were speaking about it.

I loved this video and your enthusiasm. I have to admit that there were so many puzzles of historical significance that I could not hold them in my mind. The one I would most like to do is the round ravens burger with a second runner up of the ornaments! And the one I would most like you to do is the die. I found that concept of magnetic pieces so interesting especially in a box form. Super cool.
Can I finally conquer the solid-color Krypt Puzzle?
