Yeah thats why it's not so special. Playing well at 1 tournament happens all the time. Playing well at all tournaments for 20 years, doesn't.

@JamesCello lol, Bobby was still slaying even when he was nutty. He just quit. Acting like he was bad in his later age is comical at the least. Bobby was the greatest player we have ever witnessed. It's not even close. Even some1 like magnus hasn't gapped the field like Bobby did. Magnus goes to a tourney and can win 5 games, tie 3, lose 0 and still lose rating. Bobby had the same issues expect he kept climbing bcuz he didn't lose or tie. He won.

@@vish206 But not always and it's certainly the same with everyone. I have come across many elderly who are quite sharp as if they haven't aged at all. A move, which was missed by humpy was so legendary that peter swidler said that it would go down in the history books as one of the best games if humpy had found it. One detail about Chess that interests me is the very first move, which could either be from a pawn or a knight, right? On the first move, it's usually a pawn, but are you allowed to move the knight into position ahead of the pawn? What I am assuming here is that the rooks, bishops, queen, and king cannot move unless there is an open path. Of course, there is no open path before the first move. Statistically, does the first move provide an advantage or disadvantage for the player throughout the rest of the match? Am I correct in assuming that in chess tournaments where you play a single opponent multiple times, that the first move alternates? My thoughts on this are similar to tennis in that it's the serve that starts play, and the server does have the advantage in this particular game.
