I think it’d be real nice to get a local crappie fishing gig together. Fishing, fellowship, and food. What better combination?

For me this is one of your best videos. I am watching most videos to learn to fish and how to use the electronics that I do have. I don't have livescope but find that it shows fish behavior that I wouldn't have known otherwise. But I sure appreciate when someone takes the time to explain things. One thing I noticed was that sidescan was 1.250 KHZ while downscan was at 800 MHZ, could you explain?
@daylight2darkoutdoors5292 жыл бұрын
From experience with my old gen2 unit at the time of that video 800mhz showed deep fish better for me.

Love the video. Very useful. Hope you do another one like this. When you point out crappie on the display, I can see what you are refering to. But I see your boat occasionally passing other groups of dots on the display, and to my inexperienced eye they look fairly similar to those you point out, but you don't mention them. Perhaps in a subsequent video you could identify some marks that look somewhat like crappie but why you don't think they are, and what you think the marks are. Eg school of baitfish, suspended debris, etc. Thx for the video.

That's right. It's a good idea to make a video explaining all the other things going on and why I key in on certain things and not others.

How do I get a clear screen..i have the same fish finder but I can't get my screen clear like this
@daylight2darkoutdoors5292 жыл бұрын
You dont get to see me cuss, fume and reset my defaults 5 times a day. Was just telling my wife how hard it is to film a decent video when I'm frustrated with fighting my equipment. Some days are better than others. It's very specific to the day. This past weekend I had a clear picture early and couldnt see anything later in the day. I get your pain. I just ordered a new transducer to try.
@daylight2darkoutdoors5292 жыл бұрын
Sorry. I thought you meant livescope. I have 2 sidescan units currently. One replaced the one shown in this video that broke. My new gen4 provided by humminbird has multiple issues I'm currently fighting humminbird about. The one in this video was a gen2. I'm not sure at the moment if I just got a bad unit or if the gen 4s have issues. I'm working to figure this out currently myself. However if your unit is working correctly it's just a matter of tweaking the settings on the water. Soon I'll make another video on my setup and how I adjust it if I can get a correctly functioning unit.
