| Onnit Kettle Bells |
There’s a new Force in fitness. Onnit is proud to introduce a new line of functional fitness equipment inspired by the most iconic brands in the galaxy, Star Wars. The perfect combination of both functionality and style, Onnit has created fitness equipment for Padawan and Master alike.
Introducing the Marvel Hero Elite Iron Man Kettlebell. A fully-functional 40lb kettlebell artistically sculpted after Iron Man's iconic helmet. This kettlebell is designed to help you build strength, increase mobility, and potentially increase your chances of dating a supermodel.
The search is over, the missing link in your Primal Bell collection is finally here. Introducing the new Onnit BIGFOOT kettlebell. This Savage Sasquatch weighs in at 2.5 pood (90.28 pounds) and will inspire a strength in you previously thought to be mythical.
| Onnit Maces |
The design for the Quad Mace was inspired by a central figure in the visionary artwork of Alex Grey. The Quad God represents the unification of wisdom traditions of the four directions, which aligns well with the Onnit functional fitness philosophy that embraces training modalities from all over the world. Mace training, for example, was originally developed in ancient Persia as a way to condition athletes for competition and warriors for battle. Our experts at the Onnit Academy have built upon this foundation of movement to create a virtually limitless array of training available with this one method.
The Quad Mace is one of the most beautiful fitness implements you will ever find, combining the ash wood handle, hand-sculpted cast iron head, and a resplendent bronze locking cap. But even more beautiful than the aesthetic is the functionality. Our mace is perfectly balanced, and has been durability tested to withstand 100,000 swings without any sign of wear or stress. The additional handle length provides increased leverage for all mace training movements, and the wood handle is naturally slip resistant. The Quad Mace is truly the pinnacle of form meeting function.
The Onnit Steel Mace is one of the most effective ways to train and condition your whole body while mimicking real world movement.
Mace training dates back all the way to 13th century Persia, where the elite warriors and wrestlers of the day would train with the heavy Gada to condition their muscles for battle. The first Gada used in training were nothing more than stone attached to a bamboo staff, however when made for battle, the Gada were often made of iron or bronze. Mace training continued into modern day India, where it began to trickle down into mainstream strongman training at the start of the 20th century. A recent resurgence in unconventional and functional training by elite athletes have put this ancient exercise implement back on the forefront of cutting edge performance exercise.
With an extremely disproportionate weight displacement many normal movements prove quite challenging and beneficial to the myriad of stabilizer muscles surrounding our joints and primary power centers. The mace is one of the most effective ways to build core and rotational strength, and is a steel testament to one's desire to take fitness back to its primal roots.

In all seriousness, it's all that BJJ he does. Love it but it's incredibly hard on the body, especially if you're not training with someone you can trust but most of us train/compete with strangers most of the time. Can't tell if his back form is good or not without a side view but his wrist are doing the right thing.

@Evan Reese If you think bjj isn't taxing on the body you should get out of the McDojo you're training at. I've done muay thai, boxing and weight lifting for decades and nothing comes close to bjj. I've had multiple back injuries, neck injuries, broken nose, broken fingers and toes and ruptured tendons. Luckily nothing too serious enough for me to quit training.

That’s not really the point. I am certified kettlebell instructor and know them very well. It’s definitely extremely difficult what he is doing and he should have used a lighter weight because his form was not even close to what would be considered good. In kettlebells we say to “pretend like your wrist does not have the ability to bend” as a visual to know not to bend the wrist at all. I believe he chose an extremely heavy weight just to make it look more intense.

There is no doubt that kettelbells and bodyweight exercises are the best way to have a functional, full body, power/endurance approach to working out. Traditional weight lifitng has its place in a plan, but for an athletic perspective, this type of thing is what should be the focus

Awesome looking kettlebells. I've heard these are better for your wrists, but none the less, keep the bar aligned with the wrist. Don't bend your wrist like as if you were doing push ups or in the opposite motion. You don't want to stretch those tendons (basically wires) and cause tearing early on.

Soon I'm going to start having 'personal training' sessions on my job site. One station for guys to hoist lumber onto a saw horse and cut it to a size yelled out to them. Another, guys mix water, shovel in some gravel and portland cement. They mix it with a shovel and deep squat walk it in a wheel barrow over to forms and shovel it in there. Another station will be grading. Using a rake to level out road base, gravel and sand. Depends what we're doing that day. I will charge people to do grunt work for me. That's the future of functional fitness.
