Something fishy about the French investigation. Pilots should have done better but if the plane had functioned correctly it would have been a near miss. As for passengers climbing over children, no words

In the first case…while the pilot AND co-pilot were partially to blame for altering the flight plan “on the fly” so to speak. But I also *TRULY* believe there WAS a cover up in order to place blame ENTIRELY on the pilot & hide malfunctions with the new plane which were quietly fixed in the only other 2 planes that had been delivered at that point after the crash during “routine” maintenance & of course fixed in future planes to be delivered. TOO MUCH money on the line for the company & shareholders for the plane to be found at fault. FAR less expensive to ruin the life of a single pilot…even if they were to have to pay 100s of millions to QUIETLY settle with him.

Not an expert here, however, there seem to be a bug in the Air Bus computer that they can't remove or fix. Under certain condition such as this, the bug in the plane computer prevents pilots taking control over the plane. The French goverment, howver, is willing to send the pilot to prison, probably to sh-ut him up, than to force the manufacturer to fix the bug. - One final recomendation, don't assign French "investigators" to investigate French accidents.
@RichardMcLaren
@RichardMcLaren Күн бұрын
It's not a bug as such. It was described in the manual, but it didn't occur to anybody that it was supposed to do what it did, because no other plane had ever done that before. So while it was in the manual, it's not unreasonable that the pilot didn't expect it.

If they are going to charge, convict, and jail the pilot then they need to do so with the person(s) who gave him the map of the runway that were missing the forest and didn't designate the proper runway. Charge everyone who's fault it is or nobody. Also, make it mandatory for all maneuvers to be tested with the planes and pilots b4 they do it for the crowd.

By 2011? How old exactly are these episodes? I don't really mind. But I thought they were a little more recent. I don't watch cable tv anymore, just KZbin and Rumble. But I had noticed that NEW episodes of Air Disasters (Smithsonian channel I think) were, what seemed for the most part, just re-runs of Mayday, or some other different titled show about plane crashes. And some were released under the Mayday series title YEARS before we would get them here, but aired as "new." And they were the same, exact episodes, but with a different narrator. I do really like the narrator of the American Air Disasters version. He's one of my faves. He has done, and probably still does, narration for shows on the ID network. So, not complaining; just curious. Lol

@andrewince8824
@andrewince8824 3 күн бұрын
@@hughbowman5071 it'd simply exacerbate the issue by drawing gases through the cabin. An overpressurised system like for example the already pressurised cabin is far more effective at reducing the build up of toxic gases in the event of a fire. Combined with oxygen masks (which are useful in the event of a full depressurisation) you have an effective and reliable system. Any extra powered systems also run the risk of simply not working as the power on an aircraft is produced by the engines and APU. In the event of a fire there's a high chance at least one engine will lose power. Most airliners today are twin-jets so we're dealing with half the power being lost. In the event of all engines failing an aircraft can utilise an emergency Ram Air Turbine to generate a very small amount of power. This power is exclusively for flight controls as the RAT is simply a small wind turbine taking advantage of the aircrafts momentum, it can't do high outputs.

@ZackWheeler-y7z
@ZackWheeler-y7z 5 ай бұрын
The maneuver was way too risky to do with passengers and I hope the people who lost their lives rest in peace, but idk if the pilot is to blame. It takes an Air craft 4 to 5 seconds to go from idle to TOGA do to delay, in the video you hear the engines spooling as soon as it touched the wood line meaning he was telling the truth. He tried to punch out way before they claimed him too. I also don't believe the plane went into a stall prevention but I believe the plane malfunctioned. You can see the plane begin to climb for a slip second and immediately go down, stall prevention would force the nose down but it never did, on top of that on the CVR there was no stall warning or stick shaker, just terrain warning, therefore meaning the plane never thought it was in a stall.

@@juliancastle6846 Oh no! So who do we hire now because most airline accidents are caused by men. Maybe my dog could do it. German Shepherds are pretty smart with no bias whatsoever! Just imagine!

@@FriendlyAlien-o5r most of ALL accidents are caused by men! Of ANY type! Even allowing for more/majority of men in a job, it's STILL about 98% all white males. Problem is that when any females are involved, theyll blame HER, even when it clearly wasn't her fault! Like the Chalk's one where the wing fell off or the one w the female pilot. Those were both the MECHANIC'S fault.

These pilots need cameras all over their planes, they need to be able to see the entire plane from the outside, or as much as possible at the least.

Look Ma! No hands! Is a saying because learning to ride a bicycle comes with scrapes. One kid. One bike. You wouldn't put that kid on a million dollar bike with tons of fuel and passengers. Well, i wouldn't.

Two...two young children were "forgotten" on a burning plane?? Those parents may have survived the flames in this life, but flames are undoubtedly waiting for them in the next...

Los Angeles Runway disaster = DEI . This show tries to excuse it. Women have no place in the cockpit or being air traffic controllers.

Look up Walter White. Men are just as likely to cause incidents. I can name others but a misogynist like you won't care because I'm a woman.

Wrong. Women who meet the same standards as men or who pass the same qualifications as men are just as capable doing those jobs as men. DEI means the person was promoted to that position solely because of their gender or skin color and didn’t have to pass the same qualifications as everyone else. If you’re going to throw around catch phases you should understand what they mean. 🙄
