I think it may have been the last update. It has happened before to others after they updated the consoles software. Mine just froze for the first time since i bought it 11 months ago. And it just had a software update a few days ago. If the console turns off by itself is when we should really worry.

One trick that'll stop me from having my ps4 console from crashing is switch off Lan Cable or get a new hard-drive it has helped me drastically when it comes to playing any other game also I have my ps4 for 6 years August 21, 2017 the problem was my ps4 was crashing once a month and it can be the hard drive or is getting old

@@kylebardsley8182 Yes. I deleted my saved game and started over. I read that it can be a corrupted game save file reason why its freezing as well. I did that and it hasn't happened again but note that i was also playing a game without the upgrades from internet connection at 1st. So it had to be cause one of those two reasons for me.

The game "Grand Theft Auto 5" keeps crashing when i open the game, and load into it, it always crashes at 90% loaded and it is the only game that does this. I have tried talking to an expert and they left my problem unsoleved and closed the conversation. I have tried everything i can to troubleshoot this error. I have: -Made sure the game and system software is fully updated. -Tried restoring my licenses. -Tried deleting the game and reinstalling it. -Went into safe mode and cleared my cache -Went i to safe mode and rebuilt my database. I am looking for any solution that could fix this problem, i want to be able to play the games i buy. Is there anything that I can do?

I just bought legacy of kain blood omen 2 for ps5 got to chapter four after a check point after check point there is these two guards camping well once get up to them game instantly crashes for no reason tryed to delete the game and re install got game back on got back to that check point still happened so literally submitted a report to sony I really same thing happened with succubus game on ps4

So i had this problem in 9-10-2024 so i had my ps5 2 years now i would play my madden game 25 n it woulf kick me out n leave a note on the screen..so i watch this video n it really work ..i had little trouble when i went to game library when I deleted the game i try to download the game.. the game was lock so i took the game out n put dic back in n start to download the game after that i turn off the game n follow the steps ...this solved the problem u womt loose done of ur information ot would download all ur stats n everything it took like 130 to download everything again

Im having the same problem with Battlefield 2042, i start the game and when it loads the main menu it freezes and then crashes. Btw i already did a DEEP clean of my ps5 AND reset the ps5 and download battlefield 2042 again and I’m still having the same issue. I have had my playstation 5 since when it came out and played battlefield 2042 since it came out and NEVER have i had a problem with crashes. It seems this is been done purposely with the new system software updates. Out of nowhere my ps5 starts crashing when they start announcing new ps5 versions. Coincidence? I think not. Btw this crashes thing start happening this past month.

@@nocommentary470 Basically my ps5 is bricked. I can do anything with it. Will likely get a new one since im out of warranty. if you are getting error code CE-108255-1, I would suggest trying all the troubleshooting that Sony recommends for that code. If it doesn't work, send it in for replacement/repair if you're still under the warranty. Sooner rather than later is better. It would take about a month to get your ps5 back. I did not do it, as mine is out of warranty. Hope this helps.

Just happened to me..I had it always on rest mode while In game...I turn of my PS5 rn I close the app and re open it and after 2 mins of playing I get a green screen and PS5 shuts down completely...restarts and I open the game again and crashes right after I enter the lobby (apex legends)tried over 10 times still the same...I started the PS5 on safe mode to rebuild data base and still the same...I deleted the game and I'm redownloading rn...idk whats up with it...I leave on rest mode all the time for the past year never had a problem with it and rn it seems like it's completely fucked

@@lilsquid1998 maybe the rest mode is the problem. I used to turn rest mode everytime and for some reason when i turned it on it says that the ps5 was turn off incorrectly and it could corrupt data. I had to reset the ps5 a couple times until I noticed the problem was the rest mode. Maybe your data is corrupted

I think the 4K resolution completely crashes some specific games. I've experienced this with the Alan Wake Remastered and Life Is Strange True Colors. When I change resolution to 1080p the crashing stops.

You can buy yourself a new hard drive & replace the old original HDD when it came with the console and the game

Why would he need to buy a new hard drive? The problem was caused by a firmware update as he has explained, just like most other people here are experiencing including me. PS will need to fix it with another patch not buy an new hard drive to fix it

@@ayoubzbiri4130 yes exactly the same problem as you. It’s frustrating. Any games I play on disc will have this problem. Anything that is digital seems to be fine. The crashing freezes the game then kicks me off and asks if I want to send a report. Does this happen to you too?

Anyone else having problems loading up the game “Don’t starve together” on ps5 I’ve tried everything but resetting the console, honestly want to avoid that altogether since I’m not having this problem with any other game except this one. I don’t know why but as soon as I click to open the game , 10 seconds later while it’s still loading the game mind you, it crashes completely and gives me a message saying “there was a problem loading this game or app” and all I can do is report it. I actually figured it out all thanks to another comment down below!! Omg I’m so relieved. It was the saved data that was corrupted some how so I deleted the saved data for the game and it opened no problem now! Hope this helps for anyone who was experiencing something similar. Try this out 👍🏻
