The "women don't work hard because construction work is male dominated" argument has always seemed so ridiculous to me because it only works if you completely ignore all of the dirty, difficult and physically demanding work that's female dominated. Most personal support workers, nurses and elder care professionals are women. That involves working long 12 hour shifts, sometimes at night, dealing with blood and piss and other bodily fluids. They often have to lift patients, and deal with confused and aggressive people with dementia. By the original logic you could just as easily claim that men don't want to work hard otherwise we'd see more of them in these positions.
@ellem8990

Right but "being a nurse requiers more empathy and emotional labour so it's feminine and therefore weak, but we men just strong and lift things so we better (plus cave man noises probably)"
@Sam-fq8dm
@Sam-fq8dm 2 жыл бұрын
Men like this simply don't view being a nurse as hard work; I definitely remember when I was in high school a few years back "male nurses" were a frequent topic of ridicule among the boys. If there ever was a nurse mentioned in a book/assignment or whatever and they turned out to be a man, every single time there was an immediate barrage of jokes and comments about his masculinity, whether he wasn't good enough to be a doctor, if he took the job in order to have only women as his colleagues and just all that bs. Like basically any primarily female occupied area, that profession is heavily belittled by these people.

of course attractiveness is something women look for in relationships, isn’t that the same for everyone else? traits like honesty and being funny are what make you *stay* in the relationship
@Overseer2579
@Overseer2579 2 жыл бұрын
Also, physical attractiveness is entirely subjective. From person to person, it just isn’t all the same. Just because someone doesn’t look like Timothee Chalamet (which, surprise, no one does), doesn’t mean they’re not gonna find someone. And if you choose to believe that, you are becoming part of the reason why you can’t find someone, by holding yourself back from going out and meeting more people, and increasing the possibility of finding your tribe or finding someone who might be really attracted to. Because side note, just because someone is stereotypically and physically attractive, doesn’t mean they can’t have common interests with you, or be similar in their beliefs or whatever. Be real, be courageous, and build up your confidence, and you will do fine. And have an open mind
@pennify2079
@pennify2079 2 жыл бұрын
Plus standards for women are so high and for men they’re so low like honestly a man who’s funny w a great personality and healthy amount of confidence can def pull all he wants even if he isn’t super attractive. I would know since I’m friends w a very quiet and reserved dude who’s conventionally very attractive and who never pulled in his LIFE. But then I see less attractive funny guys literally be surrounded by women. How is THAT vampire dude saying personality/humor is not what women look for, like how would YOU know? Are you a woman or do women want you? None of those? That’s what I thought.

honestly. KZbin has become a cesspool for these type of obnoxious dudes who keep popping up ever so often like a recurring trend. They follow new conservative influencers because the old ones like milo yiannopoulos got taken down for pedophilia comments and other scandals. And these new rage influencers soon will be taken down because their business model of raging at women or minorities is gonna slip up, say unacceptable things and get them in trouble one day. Then another rage influencer will take their place and the cycle repeats.

@@jejeamaris8186 I agree that generalising the genders is bad. However the world we live in today, they aren't the same. the difference is that if a woman says she hates men it's just usually her being annoying and no one takes her seriously cos people see it as light banter. Meanwhile if a guy opening goes around saying "I hate women" we have no way of knowing whether it's just a guy suffering from a normal heartbreak or an incel mass murderer like Elliot Rodgers or Jake Davison. There's clearly something more concerning with the women hating crowd than those who go "Yaaasss Queen" (I think the "I hate men" phase is long over already) and that's why it's so concerning with the rise of these influencers who blatantly tell their male audiences these warped views.

@@jejeamaris8186 women and even really young girls are by and large the predominant victims of sexual crimes perpetrated by straight men. It's a statistical FACT. You cannot argue this at all, no matter how it irks you. Is it unfortunate for the men who are actually decent human beings? Of course it is. I've had interactions with both good men AND absolute trash, and I have to say there is not one single woman I've met that hasn't gone through some kind of sexual harassment from men. Including me. Doesn't mean I'm gonna overlook the good guys. It's not women who are at fault here. It's THOSE HORRID MEN who give good guys a bad rep. Go deal with them.

Exactly! We’ve been living in a world we’re we are seen as objects, things that can be used and disposes off (not saying that it’s everyone experiencing or that there aren’t people who value us as humans and respect us as such). When we don’t play their parts or even if we do they harass us, beat us, and violate us. Then we are blamed and punish for it. We are sexually exploited and unvalued. I’m sure this is not everyone’s experience but for some it is. We are shackled by family/society expectations, religion and sometimes cultures. I thought women rights was making things more equal or giving us a foot in, but as the years progress I’m finding our rights being diminished and now we have channels and communities bringing more hate toward us and it makes me terrified, not just for me but for my girls. It’s a relief that we see People like Dylan who is supporting us in this way, using his platform to educate. Which says a lot because I came for the laughs and to escape. But I’m glad he created this channel to talk about some topics and even though some are serious, I like that he brings humor to the table and still get his message across

Because you're subconsciously seeking to confirm those beliefs, you interpret the same information differently. Hence, even if there's a video of a woman agreeing with his ideas, because he already has a bias against women (for whatever reason) he will take it as that woman lying or trying to manipulate men etc as if she's some undercover spy lol and won't believe her or agree with what she says

First time commenting, long-time viewer: thank GOD for men like Dylan. Whenever I see folks on twitter shitting on him it's always over the most inane things, and I'm always thinking how they have no idea what's actually bad. Same thing when he's "controversial" when he's just pointing out ideas and viewpoints no one notices or no one wants to say out loud, which I appreciate it. I've seen these red pill idiots and as a woman, it's annoying at best and disturbing at worst. Dylan's perspective and decency is _really_ gratifying, and it's a relief to subscribe to someone that has a good head on his shoulders. Not to mention, he's hilarious! So that answers the question of "do you want someone funny?" YES. I'm a serious person and I'd bang my head into a wall if I found my date not funny. It's an individual thing. You're setting up the dynamic for your relationship in a lot of ways when you choose to pay for the other person. There's a *slight* bit of dominance going on, which sounds off-putting, but that's how all relationships are. Friendly _or_ romantic. It isn't always a bad thing. But for people who don't give a shit about gender roles, especially when gender itself is non-traditional (homosexual relationships), it's pretty meaningless. Just work it out with the person you're on a date with. I mean hell, the whole notion of going out to eat for a first date is stupid to me. Hang out with them. Watch a movie at your place or something. Going out "properly" is so old-fashioned. If you really want it, I mean go for it, but that also sets the tone for the whole relationship as much as paying for the the other person's meal does. It's just not as simple as "men should always pay" or "men should never pay". It always depends on the person you're with and who you are as a person.

It's specifically about dating dude, stick to the subject. He goes on these dumbass tangents to try and make a point while straying away from the point lmao. Also yes, women will put attractive over funniness, initially, since being attracted to someone is the first frigging step in dating someone and being with someone. That isn't exclusive to just women, everyone does it. But once you've gotten to know that person, being funny is a stand out trait that will make majority of us like you more and want to be with you longer. @@undercoverfangirl5491 I agree, but I’ve also heard too many straight men ranting about their hurt ego because a woman offered to pay for them. I’d love to treat my boyfriend that I really know and have been dating a while, but that first or second date, I’m vetting them and saving my ears

I've talked about this with my close friends too. It's taxing and I find myself getting depressed every time I remember the fact that so many women have to deal with it. Like what's the probability of us finding genuinely good men who don't view us as objects? Low. So depressingly low.

I paused the video to chip in my two cents for the “who should pay for the first date” issue. I think that generally, it’s nice for the person who did the asking out/planning for the first date to pay. Especially if they planned something special. Because to me, the first date is a test run where a person asks for someone to go with them on a special date they set up, with the hopes that that person will want to join them in becoming a couple afterwards if the date went well. So to me, the first date is a pitch, an overture. They took the initiative, and I think it’s good form for them to continue to do so for the first date itself. (Though if the first date is a typical dinner and a movie, I do think it’s fair if I’m the askee to pay my share.) But after the first date, I feel it’s up to each couple to decide how they want to split paying for stuff, because there are a lot of factors to consider going forward. ETA: I wrote all this before vampire guy started roasting poor Loris 😂

I 100% agree. Though I always offer to split the bill if a guy has asked me out on a first date anyway, just because I don’t want them to feel pressured. So far they’ve always insisted on paying.

@@toastoast Well, most of the time, I go on cheap dates, so I don't really mind paying. If it's a fancy restaurant sort of deal, then yeah we'll split the bill. But a lot of my dates rarely cost more than $40, so it's pretty easy to just pay as a my treat sort of thing, ESPECIALLY if I was the one who asked her out. If she was the one who asked me out, then I'll let her take the lead on that, but usually that's a split bill I find.
@toastoast
@toastoast 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheGeorgeD13 that sounds like a good way to do it! Cheap dates are the way to go honestly, they often end up being pretty fun. I also find it’s a nice gesture when someone does pay for me, which is one of the reasons I like to do the paying if I’m doing the asking :)

You also don’t want to be asked out on a date to a place you don’t know and then have to pay for a meal at this very extravagant restaurant or just a restaurant that’s too expensive for you and you had no idea your date was taking you to it. Which is why if it’s a date to a place that you don’t know, I think the inviter should be the one who pays for the invitees first date experience. The vampire guy is always like ‘I don’t pay for my friends when I eat with them at a place’, except sometimes you do. Sometimes people pay for their friends when they go out with them to a restaurant or eatery or something. Friends pay for each other on and off. Maybe he doesn’t have any friends.

I've never had this date paying issue before, thank goodness. When i was in college, my boyfriend paid for everything for 3 years as he was working at the time. Now that I'm working it's up to whoever wants to pay. He still pays a lot cause he genuinely prefers that and if he could afford it, he probably would. I also pay, usually if it's something i suggested or if I noticed he's paid the last couple times. People make paying for dates sound like a math olympiad question and I never got why.

They are absolutely gorgeous and break any type of stereotypes about how men should look and dress or even behave. If men in the west adopt even 1% of their physical appearance or their behavior they would be attacked and called gay.
