I've listened to many new analogue synths and they sound more digital and lifeless, I've never thought that an analogue VST emulation would sound better in the future than a hardware, the OP-X VST is just incredible and - sad to say because I love hardware - it sounds better in my ears that many expensive analogue synths out there...in the sense of price/sound quality ratio.

Well to each his own, I love this plug in, that's why I bought it. No need to pay thousands of dollars for a 30 year old great synth that can break any time now. Saying the VST sounds better is a bridge too far for me though. But the difference is negligible. In a track, no one will hear any difference.

Hello! I know this looks like and old post, but I have been looking for a tutorial on saving patches. I am having a hard time creating a Bank with presets with the name of all the band songs for easy access. Can you make a video or maybe guide me as to how to do this? Thank you!

CREATE YOUR OWN SOUNDS AND BANKS The patch browser of OP-X PRO-II makes it very easy to create and save own new sounds, and collect them in new custom banks which you e.g. can use as custom soundset for your live performances, so that you just have to toggle forward programs to have the sound for the next song or the next playing part ready. Banks also are convenient to group presets by themes as we did it in the banks library, and banks also allow for fastly browse through presets and for switching presets remotely controlled by MIDI CC (see page 85). A bank always can have 128 presets. For more infos read page 9 ff. INFO FOR FORMER OP-X PRO USERS: Of course you still could handle patches as you're used to with your vst host, but you will quickly see that it's much more comfortable to do this using the integrated patch browser. The synth's own presets furthermore are host-independent. The patch browser loads and saves all presets and banks to the same central location by default, which means you don't have to browse around to find your banks and presets, they're always directly accessible. The default path only will be changed when you browse for files elsewhere, e.g. when you've created own sub-folders within the root one (which is allowed). But the default path will be re-set when the plugin is closed and launched again. Read more about the patch browser in the dedicated section (Top Bar -> Patch Browser). How to create own new banks of selected or edited presets: 1. Save single presets First of all you have to save the single presets you want to put into the new bank, which can be unedited factory presets, or edited ones / own new creations. If you've created a new preset / edited a one then it's highly recommended to give it a new unique name in the text field for easy recall before you save it. You may deactivate „always on top“ for the plugin window if your sequencer reacts to character shortcuts in writing mode. The file name by default ist the same as the preset name specified in the name field which allows for easy and fast saving without the need to edit file names first. This is allowed of course, but be aware that the file name can be different than the displayed preset name, they are not linked. So it's recommended to just click PRESET:SAVE and ok, which is very fast and easy. 2. Load the empty bank and load the single presets into it There's a bank called „PROII_EMPTY“ which is dedicated for creating own new banks. All locations are labeled „empty“ with all controls set to produce no sound. Now load the before saved presets in any order you like into the preset slots of the empty bank, by before selecting the location to load into (using > or the list), and load in a preset of choice using PRESET:LOAD. Repeat this step for each preset you want to load into the bank. 3. Save the bank with a custom name. Use BANK:SAVE for this. The Arp has no speed control doesnt sync to Tempo in FL Studio .

1: Try run OPX PRO 2 under XP enviroment .If you have Windows , of course. 2 : Try my perfect " trick " : I got bored with similar phenomena what i also experienced with other cool VST, VSTI. ( False pitch control, speed control, and so on..) I installed a XP on my old machine . After a FL 9 then my favorite but problematic Vst/ Vsti / mixer plugins, including to OPX PRO 2 too. Voilá ! Working perfectly ! I save all tracks in wav format with old FL, then i'll open it on my other machine and remastering in newest FL what run under Win 10. I hope this help, Richard !
