Hi Bjorn! Do you have the consumption for the 15 minutes of the ride? It is interesting to have it as it requires a lot of acceleration / deceleration regeneration and low speed, town combined round about.. etc
@rustyjoints48573 жыл бұрын
The corsa is a nice car, and was second on the list when I was looking. I found the Zoe is the best all rounder in this size class in my opinion though.
@Tresla2 жыл бұрын
See, I test drove both of them for 2 days and came to the opposite conclusion. Why did you find the Zoe to be better? I found that the Zoe just felt clunky and doesn't have a very comfortable driving position (too high). Whereas the Corsa felt nice and relaxed. While the infotainment in the Zoe was nicer than the Corsa, the placement of the screen in the Corsa offered better line-of-sight for me, it felt a bit awkward having to glance down at the infotainment screen in the Zoe. I also couldn't find a way to operate the climate during charging in the Zoe, which is a must during long motorway journeys in the cold.
@rustyjoints48572 жыл бұрын
@@Tresla yes, totally agree on interior ‘build quality’, corsa is slightly better. I found the Zoes infotainment and nav much better and more intuitive, climate while charging is a bit of a drawback but generally I don’t sit in the car when charging (it is possible to pre-heat the cabin using the app when the cars locked). I’ve heard mixed reviews regards driving position, for me it’s fine even on long drives. Internal space was another reason for choosing the Zoe, it is slightly larger including the boot. The other positive that swang me towards the Zoe is it’s range, it just seems better then other comparable cars. All in all they are both nice cars and generally comes down to personal choice on a few things when choosing.
@Tresla2 жыл бұрын
@@rustyjoints4857 Yeah, it was definitely not an easy choice. I've put in an order for a lease on the Corsa-e. The Zoe is a fantastic car, but those those few little things drove me toward the Corsa. I still question my decision, as the extra range and better infotainment would be nice :D I really loved the Android Auto integration in the Zoe. But yeah the Corsa felt more fun to drive for me. I mean, who doesn't want a car with _Sport_ mode? ;)
@davithdevries67742 жыл бұрын
@@Tresla Also, the Corsa DC charges much faster than the Zoe, TB 1000km test times of the e-C4 (Stelantis sistercar) and (new) Zoe are hours apart: 11:15h vs. 14.35h, even if you adjust for summer/winter temps still a big difference.
@Tresla2 жыл бұрын
@@davithdevries6774 My Corsa takes under an hour to charge on a 50kW DC fast charger, and around 6-7 hours on a 7kW AC rapid charger. Were they using a 5kW AC charger to get these numbers? Also, the usable battery capacity in the Zoe is about 7kWh higher than the Corsa (45 kWh usable vs 52), so a longer charging time makes sense. I primarily use DC fast charging, due to living in an apartment with no option to install a charger, so it wasn't really a factor for me.
@mattiash49543 жыл бұрын
Great work as always Bjørn. And as someone commented it would be interesting to get a feeling of the consumption on this ride. Tested one today and even if it cannot be compared to our Model S our impression was "better than expected". Strangely I could not find percentage to be displayed. And the regen, could not get ANY regen what so ever, not in B nor D, not in sports, normal or economy. Does it really only free wheeling?

The rules for passing a roundabout differ from country to country. For example, in the Czech Republic you should use the turn signal only when exiting, i.e. if you do not blink - you continue driving on a roundabout. This works quite well, and I'm always surprised that in other countries people need to use left turn signal for something that can be achieved by just doing nothing.
@abcxyzsven3 жыл бұрын
I always thought they would do it this way in Norway because in many places you can use the roundabout like a two lane road ( not entirely sure though )

@RufftaMan3 жыл бұрын
Just blink right when you intend to exit. When you don't blink, I'm just gonna assume you wanna continue, which is the safest way to drive a roundabout. Blinking left doesn't give me more information, it's just confusing when some people do it and others don't.
@bjornnyland3 жыл бұрын
Incorrect. You *should* blink left in roundabouts if you're going left. That will make it more clear for others where you're going. If you don't blink left, people don't know where you're going and they might wait for you for no reason.
@TheBranderCZ3 жыл бұрын
@@RufftaMan Doesn't change the fact that it's how it should be. You never know if the non blinking guy is just a dumbass or continuing. You should appreciate the blinker cause it assures you that his intention is indeed to continue.
@RufftaMan3 жыл бұрын
@@bjornnyland I agree that it makes it clear if you blink left, but if somebody doesn't blink you can't just drive into the roundabout anyway, so it really doesn't help much. Only drive if someone is blinking right, the rest doesn't matter. Edit: I don't know how it is taught in other countries, but in Switzerland I see someone blinking left maybe once a year and roundabouts work just fine.
@natulyen3 жыл бұрын
@@bjornnyland Depends on the country. In Germany blinking right when you are leaving the roundabout is mandatory. You are not allowed to blink left when entering the roundabout though. And yes, this is currently rules.

So what exactly is this „else“. Zoe has the same bad efficiency and the worst onboard charger on the market. Funny enough it was over a long time the most buyed EV in Europe. M3, ID.3, Mini all much more expensive. The Corsa/e208 is an urban B-Segment car. Never designed for long distance traveling.
