Your preheating fault is going to be only the glow plugs. It is a very common failure & it give glow plug module faults when they fail 😉👍👍👍

Oh, they must be starting to fail so. I just googled code 89 now & it actually is vehicle service required, interesting 🤔 I have had it 5 or 6 times now with just glow plugs gone, ASSUME = ass u & me 😂😂 Happy Christmas Peter 🙏🙏🎄🎄

Hi Peter. I’m having this msg every time I turn my car on and have for quite a while now. The garage I use for MOT and service can’t find a problem and advise it’s just a service light but I’m starting to worry it’s not the case and I could be damaging the engine ignoring it. Please can you kindly advise what part it is you replaced? I was trying to avoid taking it to a Vauxhall garage as I know it won’t be cheap, but fear I now need to. Many thanks

Hi Katie, I replaced the ‘Fuel filter housing’ which has the fuel temperature sensor in it. It is very easy to change but might not be you problem, I wonder could you get an engine management fault code scan & I might be able to advise you better??

Silly question:But what happens if didn’t replace the fuel filter?

There is no such thing as a silly question 😊 The issue didn’t need to be resolved at all, just the engine light and code 89 was coming up & it was a sales car in another garage. So they wanted it fixed. The fuel filter housing could be replaced with the fuel filter & this would have fixed the car but it came with a new fuel filter from the dealership 😉🙏🙏🙏

In my case it was a defective ignition coil corsa e 1.4 90hp

Code 89 for the ignition coil?? I only discovered recently that code is just for an engine malfunction. Well done on the fix though 💪💪

what tool did you use to realese the fuel pipes?

No special tools needed just a small 90* pick or small pocket screwdriver should do the trick 🤞🤞👍👍

I have the code 89 problem, i found first black wire(fat one) have damaged isolation. I only have code 89 at first starting engine in morning. Later i dont have the code. Could it be becouse of damaged wire on filter housing port?

Possibly 🤔🤔 Scan all modules and see what fault codes are stored, because I thought at the start of the video it was going to be glow plugs. So just be careful on your diagnosis 🤞🤞

@@kennedysgarage3281 sensor cleaned, code 89 shows only with firs starting of rngine in morning. I turn car on and then i turn it off and there is no more error. Then i can use car whole day with no error but in the morning it came up again......but only first start of engine. I am confused! The car is driven just in city, exaust is full of sh.. Maybe i can put some dpf aditive in diesel and try to make hundred km on highway....what do you think, is this kind of problem possible becouse of low drive and maybe bad diesel?

@@goyko100 my initial thought on my car was a glow plug faulty & the glow plugs are used mostly on cold start, could it be one of them faulty 🧐🧐 Have you a OBD scanner??
