I don't think you realize the legend that you are, sir!

You need a step-by-step build guide from scratch to a usable result. I have DIY electronics project experience, but the current universe of options, unknown configurations, and hardware changes is too overwhelming to embark upon. A single basic, known-functional build with solid build documentation would go a long way for adoption.

I made a start to finish video about such a build some time ago. Documentation is coming for new features and is mostly updated on the github wiki.

Love watching you tinker. Great fun. A question tho, how would you compare a setup like this compared to a commercial product?

Do you know if a servomotor MAE A 5041 is compatible with the the main board?

I dont know if you hace tryied simucube or VRS but how far this wheel is from them in terms of smooth and quality of ffb?
@Gigawipf2 жыл бұрын
Tried the SC2 pro and it is comparable. Both systems have some pros and cons and it will depend on the motor and your taste which one provides better FFB for you. The FFBoard currently has better compatibility but the feeling of course highly depends on the chosen motor driver and motor.

@@Gigawipf WoW thats so good to hear. I think you can make a lot of money by selling your IP. Three months aho Simucube sold his IP to asetek by more or less 1M dollars

Hi. Does it work with flight simulators, does it supports several axis ffb for that, like just plug and play and u don't need to make extra software for that, and works with dc motors at ones with mentioned?
@Gigawipf2 жыл бұрын
2 Axis HID FFB: yes but not tested much and only with digital motor drivers (Odrive preferred, vesc, tmc). DC Motors: Yes but only single axis. There is only one ABN encoder input. For non HID FFB there is currently a command based ffb interface in development using the same effect system via a different interface.

@@Gigawipf so no way, for now at least, use two dc motors, even with odrive? And no way to take btn motor drivers, and dc motors for both axis. I'm sorry, this is very interesting all and cool, but really just want to know about this solutions particularly.
@Gigawipf2 жыл бұрын
@@modellerdesign Odrive does not support dc motors. only 3 phase. You could use 2 separate controllers. For 2 axis PWM operation on one controller it would require significant pin remapping to get a second encoder interface. not happening
