It made me so happy to see that the jar smelled. What a rare treat that we take for granted. ^^

I think there's some chemistry between Viktor and Carissa! Look how much care and attention she put into that box. I sense a cute pair

this whole series on the south pole is one of my absolute favorite things on the internet... just love it so much! always have loved science dedicated buildings and structures as well as isolated nature. And Viktor has such a wonderful energy - it all just makes for a really cozy and fascinating feeling

Right?! It's definitely a really great thing bring able to get some stuff when you're halfway through! I definitely felt it extra as well, since I've been on Ice since October now!! And yeah!! It really blew my mind!! The first jar wasn't nearly as successful so I wasn't expecting it to work that well! Now I'm just excited for the last jar :)

~ What an awesome South Pole tradition! Thanks for sharing it with us! So cool that you get “Christmas” in June and then “Christmas in July”!! 😁🎄 Enjoy your goodies and may the next half go by quickly so you can see the sun shining again and check off another Arctic stint on your “checklist”!

It is indeed! Like I said, I think they do it at McMurdo and Palmer as well, but I'm not entirely sure! Either way, it's really lovely! And thank you so much!! Crazy that it's coming to an end!

It was cool to see you open the presents. Honestly, I like the table, looks like something that was put together, right there. Maybe I should learn to make things out of wood.

Awesome video, and make us think of the “little things” we take for granted. Enjoy your special gifts, and please do share the gingerbread village once you do it! I find myself always looking for when you post videos! Thank you for doing this for us out here!!!

Thank you so much man! I really appreciate it! And I’m really happy you’re enjoying the videos 😊 And yeah, it’s pretty amazing what we take for granted in the real world. I think one of my favorite things about being down here is kind of getting the chance to reset and realize that we have! Also coming off the ice and having access to everything again is just euphoric. Haha. But thanks again! And I’ll definitely share the gingerbread house! Not sure how good it’ll look 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks so much for all your South Pole videos, I have found it very interesting and I have watched all of them. When you were doing your unpacking in this video my two little dogs also thought it was very interesting as well LOL check out their reactions when you pull out the little stuffed dog. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZfOeJ6tid9jiKM

That was a fun video. thanks for sharing with us. We could tell from your big smile, that you truly and genuinely loved and appreciated each item. Your reaction to the cactus, "GREEN STUFF!!!) was so funny. But you holding that jar so tight and sniffing the heck out of it, that was priceless!! And yep, would definitely love to see you put together, and the finished results of the gingerbread village.I love jurassic park and jurassic world. And I bet if there was a real jurassic world, you would dive right in and go exploring there and share that experience. But alas, so far the only jurassic park I've seen, is the one they created at Disney World in Florida. But it would be cool in real life. Well, until the next video, you and your new cute furry dog, stay warm my friend.

And I’ll make sure to do something with the gingerbread 😊 You’re also totally right about Jurassic world!! It would be awesome to go!! But thank you so much!! The dog and cactus were real game changers 😊

How would someone ship something there and the address ???? And whats the warmest coat - who makes it - I see a lot of so-called Arctic jackets / parkas but there has to be a difference and I am thinking that some of them its just called an Arctic Parka, how can 2 parkas with the same specs have a $1000 price difference, so you are there and you have the correct info.... I know stupid question - but I don't want to make a $1000 mistake - Thanks.... BTW Cool Videos and I learned a lot too !!!!

Actually, he doesn't have to take it. There are 'skua' tables set up where people can leave things they don't want, and anyone can help themselves. Food, clothing, boots, small appliances...whatever.
@Ugandaman144 Жыл бұрын
@@debt4717 Yeah, I can see that cause I worked at an University where people left stuff behind all the time. If you need furniture, we had a special board for that. I worked at Tulane university and let me tell ya lots of the kids had money so they left everything behind including their cars cause daddy promised them that Porsche if they graduated.
