Yup, the Walmart nearest to me stopped stocking all cards back early spring. They already make very little on selling TCG but pair that with degenerates stealing all of it... It was just empty boxes on the shelves. So pathetic.

I love this. Reprints are always welcomed. Might need to import some of this into Canada, Retro Pack was impossible to find. Walmart wasn't carrying it and Gamestop was always sold out.

I think this was an unannounced bonus. People just discovered these but Konami never announced these on their socials. They did say that Europe would get the full booster boxes. SE for america seems like a big thing now

Cool product! I've been interested in Lightsworn for a while now. This situation feels like the Realm of Light structure reprint. It was only available in EU and then sorta randomly showed up here in the US? Idk...

This got me a bit pissed. We never get anything exclusive for us. Usually it is NA or Japan. Never or super super rarily EU. Because when has EU ever gotten NA exclusives. We haven't. I will tell you we will not get the retro packs here. I am happy NA fans will get it too because the set is very cool, don't get me wrong. But it makes me upset that EU never gets exclusives in any card game and when we finally do it always goes to other countries a few weeks or a month or so later. So it isn't exclusive. it isn't for us specifically.

If they had just given both territories them, but released Retro Pack in European Territories at the same time they released LoD here, it would of harbored a lot more good will from the community. I think they are made in Belgium (standard place in the EU, like it’s written on), but in displays of 24 boosters (standard booster box), then shipped to US and repacked into those retail boxes with 4 boosters. They are not the usual retail boxes you get in the EU. EU has just “Tuckboxes” with 3 boosters in it for retail. So I think, they get the new packaging in the US later on.

Retro pack has been what i've been hoping for since I got back into collecting in 2021. The new card layout doesn't do it for me so I did buy the reprinted Duel Monsters era booster boxes but I just left em sealed. I just wish they would be more transparent with the releasing so I could effectively give them more money! I really want to buy the booster boxes but acquiring them seems like a game of chance. I definitely would have spent more on this set if I could just easily buy the booster boxes lol.

I found BOTH an ulti Destiny End Dragoon AND the ghost rare Honest in a single box! Walmart came in clutch! Also, based on the information, the cards were printed and packaged in the EU, while the external box packaging was made in the US. Last, I heard that regarding boxes and cases of RP01, you had to order from Konami like you do for OTS boxes. Not sure how accurate that is, though.

As you know, I am in Berlin. Big city and yet I barely know any places that sell cards. Very few cards/game stores and even places like Mediamarkt tend to not have anything or a few boring products only. I can think of at least 2 malls that have no card products at all, despite having multiple stores that sell games and similar media. Never found any place that does trade nights or sells singles either. So yeah, definitely jealous of the easy access you guys in the US have. :'D

It's a good thing Light of Destruction reprint have a US version too and it's box is actually better than the EU one with 3 packs, because it only have Honest on it, but this have Jaden on the package too, just like on 24 packs box.

Well I think the same that happens here with Yugioh happened in this case. We don't have a company here that prints Yugioh, so it's all imported either from the US or Europe. For you, it must've happened only with LOTD since maybe retailers like Walmart and Target saw that there was an interest in the product and had a channel to buy and import it to the US. That would be my take, I hope it's easy to get and there's a lot for everyone!

UK- we done have Walmart, we have Asda which I think is the UK branch of Walmart but Yugioh hasnt sold here in retail shops (outside of card shops) in at least a decade. Pokemon you can find, maybe Lorcana, thats it

Nice packs and some nice pulls. We have Walmart in the UK but under the name of Asda and they sell limited yugioh products mainly structure decks, tins and single packs which vary from store to store.

Due to family, I don't have the opportunity to really go check stores anymore, and when I do, they are sold out. So, I end up paying more online for products. And my area is terrible for products to begin with. I love GX, but these pull rates are brutal, I might get 1 or 2 but that's it. They need to make these fun like Retro pack, going forward reprint sets should double holo pull rates.

So I just took a look at the packs in my Light of Destruction European booster box, and the text on the back is exactly the same as the ones you showed in the video. What's interesting is... I checked some other European pack wrappers from recent worldwide sets and none of them have that text about Konami US in California and the US support email, they only have the UK and German branch details and the EU support email. This suggests to me that they had planned all along to repackage these packs to sell in the US, given they seem to be the only recent EU-print packs with Konami US' address and contact details. I wonder if someone in the US who has access to Retro Pack booster packs could check the back of those and see if they have European details on them too? That might give us a clue as to whether they're going to eventually start selling that in EU too.
