Saludos

Inso totally agree with you regarding Dimash prioritising storytelling above everything else. To me, that is one of the most attractive thing about his music and performing. I adore it. This particular performance is especially atmospeheric, a real masterpiece of storytelling. The qobyz part add so much to the cinematic feel of it! That, btw, was Dimashes choice to add this traditional Qazaq instrument to the arrangement. Another great stylistic choice, a testiment to a the great musicianship and storytelling passion. Love it!

I enjoyed your reaction! I like that you will mention things you don't like as well as those you do. I will suggest a couple of videos that I think really show Dimash's ability to tell a story with nothing but his voice. The first is "Samaltau" (about a young Kazakh man who is forced to fight in WW1 I believe and to leave his homeland and aging parents behind.) The second is "Ikanaide" which means "don't leave" or "don't go". Both were done for the Tokyo Jazz Festival during the lockdown and are performed in Dimash's studio. No stage, no fancy costumes, no choir. You may not enjoy "Ikanaide" as much since it does have a fair amount of breathy singing, but that's mostly in the beginning, and I really love it! His notes just float on the air! Anyway, I'd love to hear your take on them! I hope you will also react to "El Amor en Ti" which is sung in a much more classical style. Thanks! Enjoy! 🇨🇦

On the final sustained note, at the very end when he drops to his knees, there is a slight audible swell - I don't think the tone is completely the same when he does the "violent movement", it sounds to me like he's pushing even more air out at the very end as he drops, which sounds perfect to end the note of course, not to mention remarkable that he has that much air left at that point!

Thank you so much for this fantastic analysis.🤩❤️👍 The Kobys is the ancient musical instrument, oldest in the world of strings. I also adore Dimash's choice to finish constantants with that distinctive completion. I am also in awe at the number of times that we have seen Dimash physically drop or jar and adjust the note to hold steady. Fancams make it even more unbelievable. I loved your knowledgeable insights.❤️👍 Dimash did struggle with dance at first but he has worked hard which shows in the smooth improvement in more recent years. I agree that Dimash is a master storyteller. 🌹 My favorite vocal story is the one of "Samaltau", created from a letter a soldier sent home in 1916. I love how the music reflects the slow ploding beat of a soldier dragging himself forward to his doom. Second is the true story of "Daybeak"/Bastau Concert. For this one I love how he changes his voice from narrator to child experiencing the trauma and loneliness. If reacting to Daybreak get the performance off Gloria Wu's channel with subtitles and a short backstory. Thank you Thank you for this amazing reaction❤️❤️❤️ 🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

As as classically trained musician, I really appreciate your respect for Dimash. Even though Dimash is also classically trained, you do not hold him to the Operatic pureness that you love and adhere to. Dimash is very respectful to the classics, but as you know, chose to do neoclassical music. Also, I speak Spanish fluently, and understand Portuguese and Italian enough to get the gist of the conversation. ☺️ English is TRULY difficult, and sometimes I feel for Dimash, when singing in English. Very hard to do. Especially while he is doing amazing gymnastics with his BEAUTIFUL VOICE! Thank you for your understanding and knowledge! ☺️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💗

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Hello, I'm going to explain all the scenery. It's not mine, it belongs to a Russian youtuber whose channel is called: Prefessor Georgievsky. Dimash leaves nothing to chance, he gets involved in everything and everything from the beginning has its meaning. At the beginning you see people with black capes, medieval style like their clothes. There are 9 women and 9 men all with lit candles. At the end of all of them is Dimash and if you look closely you see a big round light and another small flash of light. The lyrics as you say is "stranger in the land of strangers". He wants to start over but he also says that this place is familiar to him as if he had been there before but it is supposed to be the first time. When she sings after the chorus and makes those notes, the first one more serious and the second more acute that seems like a baby crying... Then she makes those two very high treble notes and at that moment, the ones with the candles put them all out. Explanation: the 9 men and the 9 women represent the 9 months of pregnancy, whether it is a boy or a girl, the candles are the "lighting". The large final sphere represents the uterus of a pregnant woman and the small flash of light is the embryo... When it makes those sharp notes as if they were crying a baby, they extinguish the candles because the "delivery" or delivery has already taken place, already the child has been born and if we go back to the words of I feel that I know this place that has been before... Meaning: REINCARNATION. In another life he has been reincarnated and lived there, I think in the medieval period and that is why he has the feeling of knowing the place. Knowing this already, you can see it again and everything will fit you. Thank you very much for your reactions. I send you a hug from Malaga, Spain. 😘

I appreciate his accent, because it makes such perfect sense of the song, and the lyrics. He’s in a strange land where everything around him is unfamiliar. He’s wondering if he has the strength to start all over again. It reminds me of the immigrants coming into the US. The strength, and courage that it takes to start a new life from the ground up. Everyone, please don’t forget the music genius of Igor Krutoy. Dimash does his best singing with Igor‘s music, because it gives his voice a solid foundation on which to present itself. Plus, the music itself is worthy of an Oscar for best soundtrack. Igor is a master melodist - and his music is always perfect for Dimash.

He is undoubtedly a great great artist, I really liked the analogy you made as a "storyteller", he uses his voice (of course), his body, his face, his hands, which are a very important element, to get us into the song. If it is perfection, I don't think so, but the whole thing feels "perfect" in the senses. I'm sure you'll really like Ikanaide, Samaltau (both from the Tokyo jazz festival), they are pure ART. There is another version of this song Stanger that I also love, it makes some fantastic changes, personally, this other version impacts me more! This is the only version of the 'Stranger' that I've seen and I wonder what choices he'd make if it was a singular performance and not within a setlist of songs. In a concert setting it seems especially important to vary the introductions and endings of the pieces in order to keep the momentum and flow going where you want. This is the only version that I could find on Spotify, iTunes, etc. but I am curious what a studio version would sound like on it's own. Hi, Daniel - thank you so much for your wonderfully detailed analysis. I love hearing your thoughts on our beloved Dimash. ❤️

His concerts usually last 3 to 4 hours! I saw him come off stage after a performance and fell into his mother’s waiting arms. He is so wiped out afterwards. Even after resting for 10 minutes he could barely speak. But he wasn’t out of breath but deep breaths for a few minutes.. lol! We forget sometimes that just because it can sometimes seem as if it’s easy, that’s not always so. Very physically demanding. Can you imagine how anyone would feel after 3 to 4 hours? Wow!!

Hi Daniel, I really love and enjoy your reaction & analysis of Stranger, one of my favorites. I learn a lot from you, I luv your energy & enthusiasm. Thank you very much. More Dimash please, Your Love, When I've Got You, Smoke and Loose Control with Chante Moore.

There is a reaction channel of a vocal coach and famous songwriter many of us enjoy. This matter of movement on stage and singing was talked about by the vocal coach. He himself was in Musical Theater for a time. He said that today, they train to be able to dance and do many strenuous movements while singing. It's pretty much required these days. Also, Aida Garifullina the famous, spectacular, gorgeous Opera Singer, posted a "short" of herself dressed in workout spandex👀(yes, you should see it) vocalizing while doing full-on pushups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take away; it can be done.😉

I was there too. My first Dimash concert, even though I have been a Dear for a few years. It was incredible. Best concert ever. The atmosphere was amazing - so much love inthe air! I still have not quite come down and back. I want more! Gosh, now I understand why people cross half the world to see him over and over again. It is kinda addictive😂❤

@@anetadygon3478Yes, this! For me my first was Prague, and Budapest was my 5th… And I will keep going back for more. Yes, it is an addiction, but one that doesn’t hurt anyone, but on the contrary makes us (even) better people. As long as I can afford it, and I can find a babysitter for my young son, I will keep going! Nothing beats his concerts!

@@anetadygon3478 Oh, wow - it's 100% (in fact the only thing!) on my bucket list, to see him live - you're so lucky, and I'm so very happy for you!🥹 If only my health and finances would improve... I am determined it WILL happen for me, too!🥰
