Exactly! I don't think many people realize that Chance's range mirrors Tim's but his low starts a few notes higher and his high is a few notes higher. Listen to the high notes Chance hits in 'Can't Stop the Feeling' and the lows in this song and in 'I Can't Outrun You' and then listen to Tim's high notes in this song and in 'Snowglobe.' The ranges for both of them are insane....

@@wilkvanburen, how about their cover of “American Pie” with Don McLean? There’s a really high “do do do” that only comes in towards the ends of Austin’s and Rob’s verses. I’m pretty sure it’s Chance doing it, so he couldn’t do it while singing his verse or while covering the bass during Tim’s verse.

This song was originally done by Cam, a female country singer. When they decided to do it in the same key, I suspect Tim jumped to tenor because of his massive range. And of course it gave Chance the opportunity to remind us all that he is a baritone who can drop to bass at will - he was the bass in his previous group Street Corner Symphony.

When Tim goes into his upper range Chance usually takes over for him to cover the lower part of the frequency spectrum. You still have lots more Home Free to check out and I'm all for it, looking forward to more of your reactions Maggie! This was a great one as usual 😊😊🚨🚨

@@maggiereneemusic Austin recorded Unchained Melody January 2021 in his home with Steven Martinez on guitar. Home Free went back to the roots of the song in February 2022, singing it behind bars. It's from a 1955 prison movie called Unchained. This was 10 years before the Righteous Brothers made it a hit.

This is my favorite of your reactions. You just seem to be enjoying it so much. Tim comes in singing in his high register and say's, "Hey, guys. Look what I can do." Then Austin comes in with his part and says, "Here, hold my beer." Rob's beautiful voice, Adam's vocal percussions, and then we have Chance...RESPECT, dude! They are so versatile! I love it!!

Austin has a selection of solo pieces on his youtube channel....you might enjoy his rendition of Les Miserables "Bring Him Home"....its a live version from one of their concerts

@@maggiereneemusic Austin's solo video for Bring Him Home was recorded in his home with Sebastien Douyon on piano. There's also a video where the group were backup singers for Austin while he sang it on stage, followed by a wonderful piece that is pure HF made even better by some unscripted stuff thrown in. Thanks for reacting to Home Free. Love this song!! Austin is a really great singer, also classically trained. That's what's special about h8im. He worked very heard to be able to sing without his GA twang! lol. But of course, we hear him use it when a song calls for it. Take a look for the live performance of Austin singing with Home Free, Les Miserables, Bring Him Home. Will blow your mind!!! Shows what he can on full display. Heidi Rancour's (from the audience) has a pretty good version of it live. Did you hear Austin sing solo Unchained Melody and Home Free singing When a Man Loves a Woman they just did, Austin solos in that. Wow! Take care.

If you haven't reacted to Morgan James/PMJ covers of "Dream on" or "I really don't care" I would like to see your reaction to them. The Home Free group has released three really good quarantine covers recently. "When a man loves a woman", "American Pie" with Don McLean and "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" with Peter Hollens and 200+ of his patrons. All are fun and seriously good.

Country Roads is one of my favorites for their harmonies, any of their originals are awesome and they just released a "cover" of American pie, a true classic. in it they sing with the original artist Do Mclean sooooo goooood! just for fun you should react to one of Adam Rupp's drum solo videos. he is incredibly talented

Told you this is a total switch for everyone ... These guys are sooo insanely good .. Austin is a star .. since the singoff they told him ... be brave be confident in your talent Tim is crazy ... I heard he was a barritone before he became a bass wich would explain why he can go so high and so low but still Also .. mister musicbox beatboxer is crazy unique ... and really good.

love this reaction, this is one of the best things to react to for a more experience Home free reactor because it subverts expectation so hard! as for what is next I would say Folsom prison blues by home free if you have not done it. as for what is next I would say if you love bass then Geoff Castacuchi (not sure spelling). either via his group Voiceplay, I love carry on my wayward son, or his solo work. I love sixteen tons or headless horseman. 🚨🚨🚨
