@@maggiereneemusic While I am still hoping for you to further explore more Pentatonix. I think that there are a few more songs by Home Free that you need to react to. I would start with 'Ring of Fire', since you love bass voices. It has bass overload, because besides Tim, Avi from PTX guest features. Next would be their version of 'Mayday' by Cam, Tim will even fuller blow your mind. Lastly, for a completely different side, Rob and Austin killing it on the Boyz II Men classic 'End of the Road'. I still give Pentatonix the slightest of edges thanks to Kirstin and Mitch, but Home Free is a very close second.

They do use a looper - in concert they use the looper to get all the sounds in. They use it also on their cover of "Castle on the Hill" (Ed Sheeran song). PLEASE react to their cover of "How Great thou Art" ....the harmonies will blow your mind. P.S. on Ring of Fire, Tim hits the G1 on the piano scale, at the end. I'm guessing you would like their cover 'Ring of Fire' with guest Avi. Also, there is a video out there of the beatboxer doing a drum solo at one of their concerts. In 'May Day', the bass singer moves it up about 4 octaves. He has a 5 octave rang.

They’ve said in some live shows Adam (beat boxer) will use a looper on some songs if one of the other guys cant duplicate the sound while he’s doing another part. Like the live version of this song Austin (first one singing) assists with the harmonica sounds.

I love Home Free. Having said that, I have been listening to lots of reviews of this song, but your review is the best thought out and researched of all of them. I think this may have to do with your eduacation at Julliard, I don't know, but I really appreciated that, and it was a big factor in subscribing to your channel. Anyone can say, "wow, that's cool" or, "what a great bass line", etc. but I feel like I am getting some great background information, genuine analysis (from a pro) and just a lot of fun comments from you. Fun Fact: The lowest note that Tim Faust can reach, that we know of, is G#1. I might not be a man or have a bass toned voice, but I hope that I can reach that note one day. If I can keep up with Lisa Gerrard and Cher in terms of low notes, then I think I can accomplish that too. ANYWAYS! I would love to see a reaction video to SKALD's version of "Seven Nation Army". They did an amazing job with it and I definitely prefer it over the original version of the song!

You will have to check out Austin (lead brown vest guy) singing "Bring Him Home", from Les Miserables. He has a classically trained voice. Mr. Overalls (Rob) is doing the "dom dom do" in the background, but when he is singing, Austin comes in almost imperceptibly taking over the dom dom does. You should check out Tim Foust and Avi Kaplan in the Johnny Cash's song "Ring of Fire" video. That would be Chase (the other Adam) taking over the beat boxing, as well as taking over the bass when Tim is singing lead... They are truly exceptional how they can step in and fill out each other's roles. Like Pentatonix, they take great pride that they can perform their music live, with no tracks.
