Wow! I have never heard this version of Autumn Strong before but many, many others - also live at the Budapest concert 🥰. Like another Dear says, you have missed his beautiful soprano singing in this version, which he has in all other versions I have heard ❤ The Japanese version, Ikanaide is the most beautiful of them all, one of my favorite s by Dimash. I watched it to the end, have subscribed and here is my comment. Autumn Strong is such a beautiful song, but I'm not sure, but I think every other versions of this is better. I recommend you to listen to his very first time singing this song, which was at the Singer 2017 and the one from his Kyiv concert 2020, is also worth checking out

The 2017 "I Am Singer" episode version is superior and he hits incredible highs throughout it. The KIev concert in 2019-20 Arnau Tour was also more emotional. You should watch both to get the full soulful effect.

👉 Autuumn Strong is very popular in China. The original version (Japanese) based on a true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. In 1993, Jacky Cheung adapted the Japanese song (written 1998) into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn. The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin and is about autumn, farewell, sadness ... but also about accepting the unchangeable. This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong. I'll have to say that this version, although newer, doesn't hold had a candle to the one in 2017, at the Snger competition. Just my preference... I am sure everyone has their own favorite.

Thank you. I surprisingly have not heard this performance! I have seen so many performances of Dimash singing 'Autumn Strong' and there are several favorites! 'Autumn Strong' is the Chinese side of the story and 'Ikanaide' is the Japanese side of the story. Same melody but different lyrics. "Ikanaide" is a vocal masterpiece by Dimash. 👉 The corpulent lady in the blue dress was one of his worst critics a few years ago (before Dimash's global career began). She didn't like his 'soprano voice' because it was unworthy of a Kazakh man.
