Some incredibly quick thinking by the officers in this video. Here Randy sits down for the first time and observes a hostage situation involving a barricaded subject, and children present in the home.
Shout out the this officer for thinking on his feet and putting himself on the line to keep these children safe.

I appreciate your intent to shed light on the realities that confront an officer in such situations. I do sense people have unrealistic expectations based on fictional representations or even simple ideology. This won't deter the trolls, but for everyone else its education put out here.

I've said a number of times, people need to understand these guys are trained, not programmed. They are humans and are affected by real life emotions and have to think critically, not computers that solve and equation for a solution.
