this is a really good game but i just hate the marine character models, they're so dated. i wish they'd use photogrammetry and 3d scan a dude like how call of duty does it, you can do it with a camera these days

He milked the grenade. That's an interesting mechanic. in real life they tell you to throw your grenade more or less as soon as you unpin it, because it doesn't take much to accidentally arm it.

The reason the radio sounds the way it does, is because when a sand storm hits like that, we wore baklavas over our noses and mouths with goggles to keep the sand out. It muffled our voices. Also, we NEVER used white lights on rifles like that at night. We used our PVS-14 NVG's.

Agreed exterior whitelight was a big no-go. We commonly used it indoors when clearing because you know that a dark interior corner is just a fuzzy dark interior corner in 14s. The PEQ2 floods were often too much indoors and tended to washout NODs as well. Just don’t be the guy that goes interior whitelight without announcing it first. I can think of just a couple times I used exterior night time whitelight and they were what I’d call completely necessary in the circumstances.

I played the update yesterday and it was the most fun, chaotic and terrifying experience I think I have ever had in a Tactical Shooter. The entire pitch black environments and just getting shot at from the fully dark windows and rooftops is terrifying. It's even more terrifying when you are inside buildings. Btw Drew, AI can now see your flashlight. Even snipers

It’s not like they’d have to do anything different, they could talk the same and just be the same, using in-game VC doesn’t change what you do, it just makes it more fun to have conversations. Using the in-game VC I’ve had this happen from a teammate “Checking ammo….. ReloadinOH FUC-“ *AK Gunshot and Body Falls* all the while his voice and the enemy gunshots are ringing around in the small building

It isn’t armed and can’t cook or blow up in your hands if you haven’t let go of the lever as well. And during this match. One of Drew’s teammates but pulled the pin and it blew in his hands killing them all.

So understanding it's a game, something we learned real quick, was 1) grenades aren't mini nukes even in confined buildings 2) most of the front doors were metal framed, and locked with padlocks. Bolt cutters or sledgehammers were a must. 3) the place smelled. There's a smell that permeated the whole place. I can't accurately describe it. 4) M1 Abrams can take a lot of rpgs. Saw one take three, pause, turn its turret and lay down hate.

Apart from watching 3 of my favourite FPS KZbinrs play together, watching all your takes on the same situation (Sada's video) makes it more like you are there, Cleetus does a race and invites lots of KZbinrs and they all video the event, watch them all and you get more of the feel of the event. That aside street clearance as shown in 6 Days of Fallujah or Berlin in 45 must be terrifying.

It's the same in every "sim" game. You shoot an enemy and they T-pose or teleport into a horizontal position. And they move like they are being snapped into position. If only a game like this or ArmA or Squad could implement something or strike a deal with Rockstar for the Euphoria engine, where instead of having animations they are allowed to stumble and fall or stumble and regain balance. Where when hit they actually hold the place they got hit in. Where the camera is actually attached to the head so if you trip on something the camera shows that perfectly. And you shoot someone and they, at first, get all tensed up as they suffer immense pain and then they slump down as they start to fade out of consciousness. If you hit someone standing on a roof they would kneel over and then maybe lose balance and fall onto their poor little virtual heads.
