Faith in others is a song on its own in the opeth song library. I think its the most honest and down to earth song they have. Love it.

"Harvest" from Blackwater Park is my all time favorite song and I got the rare privilege to tell Mikael that I want this song played at my funeral. He responded with "That is great to hear but I hope your funeral doesn't come too soon."

Thank you for doing my request. The first Opeth album to feature the prog rock sound was Heritage from 2011, 3 years before this one. It was more avant garde and less refined than the Pale Communion album. Please do the opener and lead single from it: “The Devil’s Orchard.” That song was everyone’s introduction to the new prog rock incarnation of Opeth, so obviously it’s an important listen

PS I agree with you, the Pale Communion might indeed be Opeth’s best record, although the new In Cauda Venenum is giving it a run

Sonically Disruptive Hex Omega is a fan favorite and band favorite they have played at acoustic shows, that is very mellow but haunting, or there’s the first song Mikael wrote for the album called Lines In Your Hand. It’s an uptempo, mini prog epic

I don’t know if you are planning this but i would love to see you react to all of opeth’s songs! Of course over time. At least every song from my arms, your hearse and onward! Personally, i recommend their whole catalog, but some people find their first three albums to be a little harshe regarding mixing (that included my arms, your hearse), and a little dragged out.. But i completely disagree!
