+ihaveaholeinmyjeans He's capable of making that analogy; what he's not capable of is making that analogy without making absolute sure within the subsequent 20 seconds that everyone in the room got it and that he gets credit for it. It's similar to how Fez is decent at being able to disguise his selfishness as magnanimity, but sometimes Ron pulls the curtain on his ruse when he gets greedy and makes a far-more-conspicuous-than-he-intends attempt at reaping some extra plaudit.
