21:56 Chin strap can be removed so no force is necessary on the face to prevent any scratching around the chin area caused by the chin strap. No video I've seen on KZbin shows this done properly. None have shown the removal of the chin strap. Do people not read instruction manuals anymore?

Good point about the rubber, wish they did not put rubber parts in the joint areas. It might dry out and crack over time.

In HD you can see how the diecast parts have more of that purple, brushed alluminium look of the movie. I imagine if it was all metal the price would skyrocket. But the look would be amazing

As you seem to have a common problem with rubber degradation I recommend you use 303 Aerospace Protectant liquid spray, it's very easy to apply and lasts a long time. It's a preventative measure not a cure but will protect your rubber parts from UV and oxygen damage; I've been colleting 1/6 figures for decades now and it's the only effective treatment I know of that helps.

it would be even more awesome if they were to bring the cop car. That way he could actually sit and steer (but it should be an separate piece of course). Just like The 1989 Batmobile where you could display Batman (Michael Keaton) and The Joker (Jack Nicholson) inside of The Batmobile. Just a cool idea.

My only main issue I have with this figure is the paint job. If you take a look a video from 2013 comic con, the prototype version had a way better paint job. Looks more like the film. This Robocop looks way too silver, but is still the best looking Robocop figure. I just wish the paint jobs was more like the prototype.

great review, getting mine without the chair...i just ordered ed 209 through spooktacular for 295 plus $35 in rewards, free shipping and $45 in rewards through the coupon hunt...i already knew about the rubber issue.. but at that price i figured it was worth at least to take a chance and see what happens over the next month...

I don't know how possible it would be, but I'd like to see a movie masters of the reboot Robocop (with medical table) since it would look really nice next to this one. It could have an accessory display piece of when you see Robocop without the suit.

Were it that I had both the money and space for it, I'd definitely pick this up. Between the original HT ED 209, and the NECA stunt Gremlin, I doubt I'd have room for Robocop. One thing I am kinda curious about is how close a fit both the new and old HT ED 209's are parts wise. The original might not be as accurate as the newer release, but if I could get him some updated legs that's all I'd really want.

I like that they chose to make them look like a combination of the original style cartoon, and didn't go to over the top high tech. Also, I like that they are going to incorporate different variations of transformation, not just vehicles. Seems like it might be alright, I only saw a short clip though. What you think?

The figure is a total let down, the paint job is wrong, robocop is not a flat silver, he is meant to have a purple hue mixed in the paint and some parts like the back of the head are meant to be purple. Plus the fact the thing is plastic with hardly any diecast parts....it should have been fully diecast.

Even just Robocop alone with no chair at $299 is not worth it. They should've made all the silver parts diecast but no, HT was cheap during production. The Ed-209 is another piece of junk with the dome top already cracking.

***** I can't argue much about the ED-209. But Robocop is far from being cheap or feeling cheap. Yes it's still expensive....but the electronics are NOT cheap to put in. Not only that, but Peter Weller rarely licenses out his likeness. When he does, it's cost prohibitive. Go ask NECA about that. I have no doubt in my mind that a lot of the increased cost for this figure has to do with that fact and the cost it required to get Weller to sign on to this.
