Stunning! There are so many beautiful spring-blooming bulbs. That rambler rose is also amazing. Thanks for sharing the beautiful garden tour.

That's a really nice quince - I've never been successful with that plant and I don't think I've seen a pink forget-me-not before. What sort of problems are you having with your apple trees Yolanta? Always nice to see your fabulous collection of tulips!

There's a much prettier variety of the flowering quince, with darker colours (Chaenomeles superba). I find this plant really easy to grow, mine grows in sand and rubble, between two "hungry and thirsty" lilacs. The apple trees are too big for my garden, there's a lot of shade in the garden later in the year, when the sun is lower. I'm dreading the time I've got to collect their fruit from the lawn and from the flower beds. It's a back-breaking job and nobody wants those apples. The main upside of the trees is that, looking from my bedroom window, I can't see much beyond them, neither the school nor my neighbour's house :-) The tulips I planted in pots last autumn are a total failure this year, I won't use this method again, I think. Great to hear from you, Paul!

@@gardensenglishanddance So sorry to hear your latest tulips didn't work out. I had two big apple trees - I actually took one out and planted a liquidambar - it all worked out really well. I've been away and also had a few problems but it'll all be resolved - sooner or later ;-) Take care, Paul

@@paultsworld My apple trees are sort of "holy" because they were planted by my father who still keeps a watchful (though slightly demented) eye on them :-) I'm sorry you've had problems, really. The tulips are nothing, I'm beyond caring about such trivial matters ;-) Take good care of yourself, Paul. Jolanta

@@gardensenglishanddance oh, of course - I think you’d mentioned the apple trees before. So sorry I keep using a Y rather than J for your lovely name - I must be going doolally!

@@paultsworld Don't worry, I was named after Blessed Yolanda/Jolenta/Jolanta/Jolan also known as Helen. Take your pick!
