I could act a little cooler than you at the bar because I'm having a good day, and you're woman falls for me. But, that doesn't mean I'm better than you in any way. The same can happen to me or anyone else. Or, it can never happen. Life happens. There could be many logical, scientific, behavioral and pathological reasons behind betrayal. There is no need to waste time on those in my opinion. Tell yourself "life happens" and move on. Thanks for watching. There is however a higher probability of betrayal in people with insecure attachment styles. So, the more secure your partner is the more attached they will be to you emotionally, and it will be harder for them to "harm" this bond without feeling like they are actually harming themselves in the process. Secure attachment makes them feel that you are them and they are "you".
