Useful info! I'm so happy to see more studies being done on female athletes! So much of what we know about training (and health in general) comes from predominantly male studies. This was especially helpful as I train for my first 100k. (Insert terrified whimper here. )

Go well in the 100km! Yes, agree we need more studies with female athletes - Dr. Stacy Sims is doing a great job in promoting more women’s sports/nutrition studies.

No, we have to push ourselves until our body as catabolized all our muscle for protein and until theirs no more cartilage in our joints! Goggin's style! I'm joking, he's got un-paralleled motivation but this video is good logical thinking I can relate to.

@@TheRunExperience I see you are very responsive in the comments, that’s awesome. I have a video topic I’d suggest, it’d be nice to get your input. There are many types of runners with different goals, some like myself have to fitness tests including a run to maintain employment. I have to do a 1.5 mile run for best time, in the Army it’s a two mile run, the Marines a three mile run. Perhaps you could do a video suggesting a workout schedule that would be geared for these shorter runs that are graded for time. Many of us run because we have to, not wanting to run excessively because we have busy schedules and demanding jobs but still wanting to get the most out of our workout to get the best time and receive accolades at work.
