Orchid bees and Orchids has some of the most fascinating mutual symbiosis I have ever seen. An astonishing example of these highly advanced links between autotrophs and heterotrophs. Truly remarkable

Absolutely great video. I love the history of this special group of bees. They are an unique example of this kind of behaviour among all the animals. This is one of the best examples of the closiest plant-insect interaction and coevolution.

Well, that was an information packed 8:50! I'm hooked on bees period but these orchid bees are so unique and beautiful..so fancy and evolved. You couldn't ask for a more exotically beautiful creature doing more beautiful work! To protect the environment is everything for these bees and all the creatures and plants they depend on and depend on them, including we overpopulated humans who take more than we give.

These are one of my favorite types of bees when it comes to visuals because if you watch them in slow motion, they look like machines with bigger black legs. They almost look like they are a machine when they hover over flowers.

Very, very neat video! It's amazing that the bees continue to benefit the flower even though they get almost nothing themselves! 4 stars!

Charles Darwin's grandfather was a scholar of plants. He also started to identify patterns among different plants. He wrote a few books on this. Some think that his grandfather was dabbling in the concepts of evolution in his research with plants and may have influenced Charles's work with genetics.

This is awesome. And I thought about some kind of "perfume" to smell good to their mates before he mentioned it. Very interesting. :)
