Takes money to make money. It’d be worth it to have the outlet dredged to deeper depths. The Savannah River in Georgia was dredged over 7 miles for under $200 million. The revenue it brought in already paid for itself. Sail safe everyone 🙏🏼🇺🇸

Navigated the Oregon Inlet in a 43 footer, once, back in the early ‘90s. There’s some serious pucker factor attached to that place, no doubt.

as much $$ the corp has spent, evaluating, studying, dredging, they could have built probably 20 jetties to protect the inlet.. but no, keep wasting it on studies, evaluations, that go NO where and let the folks that TRY making a living down there keep struggling... Sad, Sad, Sad...

What a bunch of East Coast whiners! The West Coast is far more dangerous to navigate. That said, make sure to show respect for the USACE crews that dredge the channels and the USCG crews that drag the unprepared or unlucky back into port. Essayons Murden.
