The HDA-929 works flawlessly for my situation. I have a 6 year old Sony 4K TV with ARC support only. I am using an older Denon AVR-3808CI receiver that has no 4K support but it does supports every new lossless audio codec except Dolby Atmos. I am feeding the TV all my streaming content via an Nvidia Shield (2019) via the HDMI In and out on the ARC/eARC TV output HDMI out 1. All indications on my streaming apps show both Dolby Vision and Atmos sound being passed to my TV where applicable. I have the HDMI output 2 going to my Denon AVR and it is seeing that Atmos stream as lossy Dolby Digital + as it should. As an aside, I have a lot of my Blu-ray and 4K discs ripped to a NAS and use Kodi and PLEX to allow me to stream those to this TV and other media devices in my home network. I tried both Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio tracks and they are passed via output 2 perfectly to the Denon for decoding. Thanks Orei!

@WinsonSIN68...how if my case....My TV is Samsung 4K with HDMI 2.1 eARC and my Receiver is Onkyo with HDMI 1.4 ARC. I have no soundbar. So the TV HDMI eARC goes to OREI HDMI ARC/eARC out 1 right, and for my receiver HDMI ARC, should I plug it to OREI HDMI audio out 2 or HDMI ARC/eARC soundbar ? Since my receiver has HDMI with ARC only.

@@henrichandrew the eARC should go to the in source in. Use the out 2 to connect your Onkyo. Sound from TV should output thru the Onkyo.

@@WinsonSIN68If I'm not mistaken, I read on their official web, the HDMI out 2 (Audio only) is just for the legacy amplifier/Receiver which no HDMI ARC output and have HDMI only. And my Receiver already has HDMI ARC, is that right connect it to OREI HDMI out 2 (audio only). "Dedicated HDMI port for outputing audio only when connecting with legacy AVR without eARC/ARC function" ---> This what I copied directly from website, I think this one should be the HDMI out (Audio Only). "Perfect solution for SONOS ARC/BOSE 500/BOSE 700/BOSE 900 Soundbars and other eARC/ARC audio/video receivers" ---> and this one should be the HDMI out ARC/eARC (soundbar). Instead of just for soundbar, it say can be connected to A/V Receiver already has HDMI ARC/eARC. From that, I could conclude : 1. If your receiver with HDMI only (no ARC/eARC) connect it to OREI HDMI out (audio only) 2. If your have soundbar or receiver with HDMI ARC/eARC connect it to OREI HDMI out (soundbar) How you see about these? Sometimes these ARC and eARC thing just give a headache. 😵💫

I have an LG oled that does not support DTS and wondering if this scenario works for what I want. Connect shield tv to extractor and then extractor to soundbar and LG oled in order to get DTS audio and other audio like Atmos. Essentially trying to fix handshake issues I get when my media player with DTS content sometimes does not send PCM audio watching video with no sound. I want to say yes, but would like to confirm before making purchase.

Hello, HDMI CEC is working ? I need to use just one remote control for TV and soundbar. Thank you.

Hi, hope someone can shed some light on a probably easy question, but I'm a bit confused on how to hook this thing up with what I want it to do or if it's even possible. (Speaker Suck on TV). I bought a sound bar that's hooked up the optical of the TV right now which works fine, but I can only use the sound bar with remote or app, I'd like to use the TV or Roku remote. I've got 4 HDMI connections on the back of my TV, here's the connections. "HDMI 1 Roku", "HDMI 2 eARC AVR", "HDMI 3 DVR", "HDMI 4 XBOX. So here's the question. How do I hook the 292 If I have my AVR hooked up to HDMI 2 eARC already?

I have a JBL9.1 soundbar (ARC/eARC with Dolby Atmos) but I have an old Samsung TV that does not have ARC/eARC, will this converter work? And if so, can I plug in my Xbox One to my TV HDMI port and get the Dolby Atmos effect out of my TV to the soundbar?
@Dizzy91868 ай бұрын
It’s not a converter. It’s an extractor. So your “source” (your Xbox) that you want Atmos from needs to be connected to the device itself in the “input” hdmi port.

thank you for answering my query @Dizzy9186 , so if i have the Orei HDA-929 connected to my TV and soundbar connected to Orei HDA-929, after that if i connect my xbox one to the HDMI port of my TV (which is already connected to Orei HDA-929 and the soundbar), would i still get the atmos effect for my xbox one?

When connecting the TV to the device for the video signal, should you use an eARC /ARC port or a “regular” HDMI port?
@Dronevalley8 ай бұрын
Always use the ARC/eARC port if you have one available. It provides better audio and advanced functionality. Also, be sure to use a high-speed HDMI cable for the best results. I hope that helps!
