Hey Alex, I love your stuff since I discovered your channel last year. I think your design aesthetics are fantastic and equally mirror the quality of your work. As a beginner, I definitely learn a thing or two from each of your videos. I will always like and watch your builds as long as you keep pumping videos out. Thank you for all this content. However, I do notice that the style of this video is a rather large departure from the Bevelish Creations of old or the one I had in my mind. I admire the dedication and work it must have taken to plan, film, and edit all the transitions. Your skills in terms of production is undeniably increasing with each video. I personally feel the transitions were a little heavy with the flare bartending flips. As for the language and script, I'm a mid 20's year old millennial and this one really came across as too "party brah" to me. I actually really appreciated the moments in the past when you gone heavier on the technical side in terms of design or woodworking because those were good teaching moments for someone like me. Nonetheless, keep up the good work and I look forward to your next project.

Thanks Kelvin! I really appreciate everything you’ve written. You’re right, I’ve changed my style a few videos ago....well actually it’s more like I changed BACK to my own style. I’ve always done a lot of handheld videos with fast transitions back when I did video work for clients. The reasons behind why I’m changing is too long to explain here, but if you want to talk about it, feel free to send me a DM on instagram :D. Thanks for following along and letting me know what’s important to you. I will definitely put it into consideration for the next video! Happy new year!

For something like this, yes. But I’ll plane in sections. Like I’ll plane out the base, then go build the base. While the glue for the base dries, I will start planning the drawers, build the drawers. Then plan out the painting sequence, etc. But I didn’t plan things out in my older videos, and just hoped I had footage that will come together. I didn’t like that haha. It made editing a pain

I really like the style of videos and content, but it feels like I’m watching a schizophrenic tweeker having a panic attack. Way to many Dutch angle, snappy video transitions. I guess it’s a result of today’s society and kids that only have a 5 second attention span. Your work is unique and beautiful, let people admire it for more than a half second before you snap edit transition to the next scene.
