That's very impressive. It's thorough, clean and if not the most cost effective way to track everything!

I keep track of every transaction also, I thought I was the only one lol. I feel like if you put these into a spreadsheet you could sell it for a few bucks there are a lot of people who don’t know how to budget.

Do you primarily use cash? It helps me to use cash? What happened with your earlier cash 'envelope' system Ahle?

Wow, that's a lot of writing you did. I'm honestly not that good with my finances. I do pay my bills, but saving is much harder.

Have you tried ms excel for this? It would help you so much with ease of entering and referencing information.. And you can make some pretty charts too!

Your system has really progressed since you did a video on it several years ago. I have been interested in double entry accounting ever since I heard about it in a college history class. During the Renaissance, waterways were the main highways for commerce and Venice was situated between East and West. The funding of ships and commerce in Venice became complicated. Some Venetians figured out a way to keep track of all the financial transactions and everyone's interest in them. The system they came up with, double entry accounting, is so amazing that it's the basis of accounting today. After college I would marvel at financial reports and their statements, like balance sheets, where assets would always equal liabilities. I would wonder why that would be. Ultimately I started buying introductory accounting college textbooks. The first half of each of them explains double entry accounting. These textbooks teach you to do it by hand. You don’t have to use a computer. Since I knew how to make Microsoft Access databases I spent one winter designing a database that does double entry accounting, which I have used for years.

Very good video. I think that one of the worst stressors is money problems. There are many worse problems that are often caused by money problems. Keeping track as you do is a healthy habit. Some rules I live by are don't spend money I don't have, and don't waste money, but I am happy to pay more for high quality.

WOW. I was stumbling around looking at whatever when I see this video. I haven't seen you in a long time. Where have you been? When did you hit the road again? You were taking a break last time I saw you.

I feel like there is way to much going here in this finance management. I understand the business expense and taxes management, but using simple 50%, 30%,20% (or whatever percentage you prefer) living, discretionary expense and savings keeps things simple and easier to see the numbers. and if you want to break it down more you can.

I like the idea of the percentage budget! My income fluctuates quite a bit month month though and it never worked out for me the way I wanted it to when I tried it 😂

I suspect long time followers of your channel already know the answers but sorry if you’ve already told associate it before. How does your family feel about your transitioning to living on the road in a vehicle.? Do you stay in contact with them. Always wanted to do this as a young person, but never felt I have the right courage to do it by the resources.
