Great review man. I'm probably going to end up with a Curtis cab. I don't really want a cab.....until I'm snowblowing in these Maine winters. I'm looking for an electric shoot control for my 3pt hitch SB1148 snow blower. I need that upgrade, cab or not. Reaching for and cranking on that lever hasn't gotten old.

Woods, Woodmaxx, and MK Martin are the only blowers that offer electric rotates and deflectors that I know of.

I found a used cab like in the video and will install as soon as I find a video about it. for 800 canadian tax included. I know I will make worst mistakes if it is a mistake. MIKEM below advice if you have not done so already a trip to princess auto ( canada) or harbor freight (usa) pickup a 10 dollar 12 volt motor and a switch for changing direction 15 dollars and it is easy. connection to blower... pull out the u joint grind a flat spot and drill a hole on shaft of motor use same screw from blower and wire it, lots of instruction on here. it was easy and enjoy. next for me is the deflector same motor and a screen door bracket and wire and switch.. march 2023.

When I purchased this, I didn't even think about looking for a used one. I just figured the transparent plastic would be all scratched up and I wouldn't like how the prior owner took care of it. Nice score!

Did the rear window stay clear enough without a wiper to see where you were blowing snow?
@DemoDad101 Жыл бұрын
No. That’s why I went to the Curtis Cab. The rear wiper was essential.

I am installing one now. How did you run the wires for the wiper and lights?

Ran a line direct to the battery.

Can you mount your heater somewhere lower it might not getting the coolant cycling to it just saying

The OTC heater is electric.

See if you can spray some lubricant on it or something. Maybe take the door handle off and grease it up if you can. Idk 🤷🏽♂️

Thank you. I'll give that a try

I wish I had gone with a Curtis Advantage Cab

I have not used mine in a bad storm, I mounted the heater under the seat and I got plastic windshield without wiper. gonna have to hope for the best I guess, for 1200 I think it is worth it for me. I really can't spend the 4 to 5k especially 8k which I think is a scam from John Deere.

It doesn’t work all that great. I don’t think the glass windshield was very expensive though.

Nice video. Well i wont be gitting this cab, thats for sure. And for 2 grand OTC coulduh done alot better in design for sure. I like those green flame stickers ya have. Where did ya find em??? Tractor safe!

The stickers are on eBay. Yeah, I was not impressed with the OTC products.
I am going t be a little long winded here I have one of these in red its off my 1998 20g gravely . this company has not changed their design in all these years. I bought it used for 350 bucks I put it on and have used it a lot . the cab is rickety when you move about ,I think the frame should be larger tube ,however if you do not have this thing squared up the doors do not work properly . I bought a cheap heater from harbor freight should have bought two . the cab does keep the snow off of you when you are using the snow blower. I personally think they are over priced , especially when you have to add the cost for a hard front window , Sam in. the process of buying a 1025 r and I think I will look at other cabs on the market ,but I guess I will have to save my money first

I really liked the Curtis Advantage Cab. That served me well for a couple years.
