The Black and White trio doesn't represent Yin and Yang. Reshiram is the seek for the Truth and Zekrom is the follow of the Ideals, while Kyurem was the middle line (the Grey). And when Reshiram and Zekrom were fused with Kyurem long time ago (he's now an "empty shell"), it represented the perfect balance between both truth and ideals.

Yes, they’re based on the three regions of the world, but specifically are based in the three legendary monsters of Jewish mythology that master the three lands - Behemoth, Leviathan, and Ziz. The battle between Groudon and Kyogre pretty much matches that between the prophecy battle between Behemoth and Leviathan, albeit with a more kid-friendly outcome. You also have that Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina represent the three main stages of matter - Solid, Liquid, and Gas. Yin and Yang are not “Good” and “Bad”. That is literally the opposite of what Yin and Yang mean. They represent different aspects of the spirit that are opposites. How do you get that one specifically so wrong? To those saying: “It’s a short, he can’t explain it” you can get things right and simply leave people to look up details. For the biggest example, you don’t have to spell out what Behemoth, Leviathan, and Ziz are, just say they’re Jewish elemental legend creatures.
